The Dairy Nutrition Assistant will be a member of the Dairy Technical Team, This position will be responsible for providing support to internal staff and external customers in proprietary software and product technologies and managing software licenses. This position will take the lead in organizing and co-ordinating customer communication, including newsletter, webinars, and in-person seminars. This position will assist senior technical staff in research, development, and deployment of new technologies. The successful candidate will function as a team member in bringing value to Provimi customers.
35% Software Support: Provide support to internal users and external customers in proprietary software. Deploy updates in a user-friendly manner and manage software licenses. Assess current and future customer needs around digital technologies.
15% Software Development: Work with senior staff members to develop and implement software improvements. Keep abreast of leading edge software technologies and applications and evaluate their potential to improve existing software offerings.
30% Innovation: Assist senior staff members in nutrition innovation projects from basic research to deployment to customers. Understand the needs of customers and participate in portfolio management and development decisions to ensure world class solutions are brought to market. Help identify customer challenges and opportunities for nutritional and forage additive solutions to add value.
20% Marketing and Sales Execution: Help develop appropriate marketing and technical collateral, and communications to internal sales and external customers and at industry meetings, forums, and in some media publications. Other duties as assigned.
Position will require up to 20% travel
Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Nutrition or closely related field
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including comfort with customer interfaces
Comfortable and experienced with digital technologies
Solid mathematical skills and basic understanding of statistical analysis
Organized, self-starter with demonstrable aptitude to set and follow priorities, and manage multiple concurrent tasks & projects
Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people with commercial leadership, R&D, sales, and functional support roles
Master’s Degree in Animal Nutrition or allied field and 2 or more years of relevant experience beyond academia
Experience in ration balancing and formulation software
Experience in database management and statistical analysis
Demonstrated ability to understand and contribute to the development of business solutions in a customer-focused environment
