Position Purpose

This position is part of the IMDS team of APU and Andean region: APU (Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay) and Andean (Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru, Dominican Republic and USA-AMG) and Chile.

The domain helps in to implement a management information framework for supporting all Enterprises across the country(s) (including process for data gathering, analysis, reporting and budgeting) which allows deep understanding of the business performance in an accurate and timely manner. This position will run, develop, and use analysis tools for company integration and organization.

The data scientist will run analytical experiments and evaluate theoretical alternate models. The candidate will analyze processes and systems to extract insights from structured and unstructured data.

Principal Accountabilities


  • Gather and maintain business performance and non-performance data, construct data warehouse, reporting and keep information consistent and correct.

  • Implementing processes that improve and lead to greater data quality. Admin SQL to manage analytics database. Documenting all processes and research

  • Building new algorithms and model trainings with R or Python. Programming code to executive multidimensional models/scenarios.

  • Conducting statistical analysis to acknowledge business performance, Identifying data patterns and trends.

  • Executing projects involving analytics to provide business solutions and identify opportunities.

  • Managing analytics database. Noting anomaly detection and running diagnostics.

  • Performing graphical model analysis. Possessing a solid machine learning foundation

  • Help to ensure optimization and standardization of management reporting across the countries and businesses. Processing a solid machine learning foundation


  • Identify and help implement best practices across businesses on processes, technology, reporting and timelines to reduce time, effort and risk while helping focus on insightful business outputs.

  • Help to drive consistency across businesses to improve efficiency and avoid duplication of efforts while bringing value.

  • Continuous focus and constant evolution on processes and tool efficiencies.


  • Work closely with business employees, A&F, Finance COEs and FP&A team to achieve objectives.

  • Properly manage stakeholders as part of the data gathering process and solutions design.

  • Build strong and trustful partnership with business employees and other functional teams to ensure the financial support.



  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related field.

  • Expert in statistical modeling/data mining.

  • Expert in one or more programming languages (C/C , Python, Perl, Java, SQL).

  • Experienced in data analysis, predictive modeling, and data mining techniques

  • Proven technical master data management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Demonstrated change agility

  • Experience leveraging financial and business systems to monitor business activities and aid in decision making

  • Ability to travel up to 15%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding and experience working with JDE, SAP, and Lynx

  • Industry knowledge

  • Knowledge on SQL, Anaplan, Click view, etc knowledge
