The Camrose plant has many people working for the crushing. This role will report to Chris Moncur.
Cargill´s Agricultural Supply Chain - North America (CASC NA) connects agricultural producer to food, feed and industrial customers through a seamless supply chain. We help our customers compete in the global market and efficiently deliver products from origins to destinations through our marketing, sourcing, originating, storing, trading, consulting and processing of grain, oilseeds and crop inputs products and solutions.
Operate all equipment associated with railcar loading and unloading, railcar, washing, railcar drying, truck loading and unloading.
Monitor and adjust operation using computerized and controlled systems to meet department required.
Gather oil samples as required.
Ensure accurate information of scale weights and transactions are recorded daily.
Process samples utilizing lab equipment to obtain and record values on a computer spreadsheet and collect samples for several process areas.
Safety Awareness & Compliance
Regularly enter confined spaces under proper permit and conditions and supervision.
Understand and adhere to Provincial and Federal Occupational Safety and Health rules and regulations as related to plant safety as well as Cargill safety rules and regulations.
Maintain a safe and sanitary atmosphere with a high regard for environmental and food safety impacts of the operation.
- Inspect buildings, grounds and equipment utilized by facility; determine immediate and long range needs for maintenance and repair work. Enter work order utilizing maintenance tasks to correct them as trained.
Attend various mandatory safety and department meetings.
Communicate in a courteous and positive manner to accomplish duties effectively, working as a team with all involved.
Assist other plant personnel as needed.
Other tasks as assigned by leadership team.
Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.
Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old.
Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling, pounding with hammer and work in confined spaces.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Ability to work in elevated areas.
Must be able to operate machinery.
Must be able to operate heavy equipment.
Must be able to read/write English.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work overtime.
Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts.
- Prior experience in production related work.
