A Consumer Specialist for Cargill is a customer facing role working in stores that carry Cargill’s feed products. The position is part time, working 4-12 hours per week. The position allows for a flexible schedule, with most working hours occurring during evening and weekends. Most working shifts are 4 hours at a time and require the Consumer Specialist to travel in a 60-100 mile radius of their home to large Ag retail chains who carry Cargill’s feed brands.
The primary responsibility will be to deliver in-store training to consumers by driving growth of our Loyall and Nutrena retail feed brands. Qualified candidates would be outgoing, personal, and have a desire to influence customers around their feed and pet food purchases. High School Diploma
Availability to work varying hours including weekdays, evenings and weekends
Ability to stand for an extended period of time (up to 5-6 hours)
Strong verbal communication skills
Experience with pet, equine or livestock species
Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old
Experience as a retail sales demonstrator
Involvement with 4H or other national livestock groups
Complete at local or national shows for species groups
