Job location: Deventer, Netherlands.
The SiteManagerisprimarily responsible for all Operations activities andfinancial performanceof the Deventer facility.
The rolewill set up and implement the year plan and budgets for theplant and coordinate the cross functional activities locally.
For the upcoming years,thefour maingoalsare:building and strengthening the local plant team, increase capacity outputthrough continuous improvement projects, improve the safetystandardsandprepare the site for further expansion.
Ensures that the entire site complies with Cargill EHS standards and goals;
Steer the local EHS Manager, develops partnership with the BU EHS Director and Coordinator and expert leaders to ensure the most effective risk mitigation plans and regulatory compliance strategies are in place;
Implements and strengthens existing programs such as: safety culture change program, behavioral based safety programs, and tools to reduce risk of human errors. Champions a culture of zero injury and illness;
Responsible for supporting and overseeing the overall operational performance for the site (liquid and solid chocolate lines);
Leads and supports the implementation of continuous improvement programs based on the Stable Ops/Six Sigma principles;
Leads the yearly budget process in close cooperation with the local controller and the BU controller;
In collaboration with the local team, will define a 3-year plan for CAPEX needs for small investments projects in
Partners and collaborates with the central planning department to ensure plant capabilities are in line with the customer product/quality standards;
Ensure coordination with central planning/central Supply Chain organization and the local Logistic and Scheduling to ensure availability of raw materials and ability to meet customer timelines;
Leads the local plant team consisting of production manager, maintenance manager, EHS manager, logistic and scheduling manager, project manager;
Overall responsibility for the plant workforce planning and accountable for successful training and on boarding of new/transferred employees as well as workforce engagement, recognition, development and coaching.
Master’s degree preferably in Bio-, Chemical- or Food-Engineering or similar experience;
10 years’ experience in a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment as plant manager or operations lead;
Experience in chocolate manufacturing is a plus;
Proven experience with implementation of continuous improvement projects;
Ability to lead and develop multifunctional teams;
Demonstrated ability to develop plant business plans, measures and objectives based on overall corporate goals and directives;
Solid understanding of food manufacturing technology and processes.
