Leads and provides direction to logistics and shipment execution specialists, logistics sourcing coordinator, transactional team support staff and certification specialists, oversees the day-to-day transportation and logistics activities across Efremov site that spans across SSE, GEOS and other BUs that are served on a shared service level base by SLA in Efremov, 4 product lines. Leads, advises and makes decisions on all major logistics and transportation activities for a team that covers multi-mode operations and logistics sourcing.
20% Manages all aspects for the delivery of supplies to the facility or delivery of product to customers using multiple modes or a single mode, including modes which are industry standard. This is done through the proper establishment or contribution to the overall transportation and logistics strategy and management, training and supervision of team and direct involvement to ensure the customer is satisfied and customer inquiries, incidents and/or issues are resolved in a timely manner.
20% Works closely with cross functional commercial mgmt, sales, and customers to develop supply chain solutions that add value to customers and supports business plans to create best operational opportunity for business and customer demands.
15% Provides oversight to the team for the collection, organization, analysis, measurement, evaluation and reporting of Efremov site performance, cost and order data across BUs, different product lines(performance metrics, SLAs, scorecards, cost models, accruals, payments, rate updates, etc).
10% In partnership with CTL sourcing teams, participates in orchestrating the selection, negotiation and contracting process with carriers (trucks, rail way), logistics providors, warehouse operators impacting the enterprise within Efremov site; manages freight spend and service providors performance expectations to best leverage a market economic and service advantage under the supervision of supply management and in conjunction with the local logistics sourcing coordinator. Provides oversight and control for transportation and warehouse capacity planning for Efremov operations.
10% Leads inter-department and cross-department special projects for T&L, various value added solutions for customers and other operational excellence initiatives and determines how to cascade business initiatives to the team.
10% Accountable for direct performance management, talent development, succession planning and engagement.
10% Performs other duties as assigned.
5% Provides feedback from the business to the broader transportation and logistics community on best practices and benchmark standards. Ensures work in business as per Cargill and industry best practices and standards.
Education - Bachelors Degree (BS)
Must have a minimum of 2 years in management or supervisory/leadership roles
Minimum of 3 years of logistics and supply chain experience including truck, warehouse, rail, ocean and intermodal
Proven records of team development and operational excellence projects
Building productive and collaborative relationships with team members and proactively providing and seeking guidance, clarification and feedback
Communicating effectively in an organized and knowledgeable manner in written and verbal formats
Authentical leadership skills
Ability to work in a fast paced global team environment, ability to prioritize and multiply tasks
Self-Starter with problem solving skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of transportation laws, industry standards, best practices in SC area.
Education - Bachelors Degree (Masters Degree) in Supply Chain, Logistics, Economics
Demonstrates extensive abilities in leadership, strategic and creative thinking, problem solving, individual initiative pertaining to the management of large-scale strategic business transformation projects with a supply chain focus, emphasizing the following abilities:
Managing a team to a successful project conclusion through the problem-solving of complex operational issues
5 years experience in multinational companies (B2C, B2B sector)
International logistics and supply chain experience including truck, rail, ocean and intermodal – 5 years.
Technical Skills - Utilizing tools/systems for supply chain optimization (Transwide, E-auction, Ariba, etc).
