Position Purpose & Summary

As Service Owner this position is accountable for the flawless delivery of PRTP service within a country. The position holder is accountable for the end-to-end process delivery. AS such he/she will be the key connection with the different players in the process such as vendors, suppliers, employees and CBS centersand hold them accountable. He/she will serve as a key Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the PRTP space both for the country as from a standard process perspective. They will ensure the standard process is adhered to, will manage any exceptions to the process, focus on continuous process improvement and resolve any conflicts in the process.

Key responsibilities will be to work with the CBS Finance teams to assist in the improvement of the current p.o and non p.o. vendor payable process, assist with the migration of payment processes to CBS including vendor address book process support, help in continuous improvement of the current PRTP processes, investigation of problem payments, support the improvement SAP p.o .processes (where implemented), provide level 2 support to CBS Finance (including improvement of communication between functions and CBS if needed), provide and monitor key migrated financial metrics and follow up actions. Other responsibilities will include escalation of issues, management of exceptions, root cause analysis of issues and resolution as well as working with vendors, suppliers and internal functions in order to educate/train/adapt to the standard processes.

This position will take the lead in ensuring the PRTP processes are inplace, regularly reviewed and implemented to meet the Service Level Agreements.

Principal Accountabilities

60% Service Ownership

  • Provide clear direction, objectives and providing a continuous improvement environment.

  • Provide thought leadership in the area of expertise;

  • Carry out the root cause analysis of issues

  • Once the root cause is identified lead the issue resolution

  • Key contact with CBS, functional employees, suppliers and vendors

  • Escalation as needed to the relevant parties

  • Implement process optimization for the country

  • Set the required service levels and KPIs necessary to deliver the service

  • Accountable for the overall performance, integration, improvement, and management of the service

  • Responsible to ensure the process is fit for purpose – including, planning, design, implementation, monitoring and improvement of the process.

25% Business Liaison

  • Manage the business and CBS Finance personnel to help ensure the successful migration of agreed transactional work to CBS Center;

  • Engage and empower our CBS Finance and business teams to act, collaborate and partner to create one effective team;

  • Key point of contact for the business when they need to escalate a PRTP issue (JDE or SAP);

  • When required, liaison with CBS and the business on issues, process improvements, & SLA slippage;

  • Manage the communication of the PRTP Process changes to CBS and the business;

  • Troubleshoot issues with vendors as needed;

  • Coordinate improvement or implementation projects as needed;

  • Lead the business work through identified aged items in the system – work with the sites, assist in the sending out consistent metrics and help drive improvement to the site locations to have better line of sight on performance of our site teams;

  • Create, measure and monitor pre-established key metrics. Ensure business team and CBS take appropriate action as necessary. When required provide answers, leadership and expertise to CBS and the business for PRTP.

15% Change Leadership through Process Optimization

  • Investigate metrics provided by CBS to help understand root cause and improve processes;

  • Identify and implement process simplification, standardization and improvement while proactively pursuing shared services optimization;

  • Create a culture of initiating change and driving results to both CBS and business teams;

  • Partner to work to achieve a high performing team and have a deep desire to constantly improve results through process optimization and training;

  • Collaborate with other Finance, Business leaders and other finance colleagues within the business and Cargill to implement improvements in business as well as CBS processes.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or accounting;

  • Minimum 5 years of PRTP process experience;

  • Demonstrated ability to create a culture of continuous improvement, process optimization, and intellectual curiosity;

  • Relentless determination to improve processes and build collaboration;

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English) and country specific language;

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills;

Deep understanding of how end to end processes operate within a shared service environment. This understanding would be supported by industry benchmarked metrics/KPIs which help position our internal process maturity relative to best in class.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years PRTP trouble-shooting experience

  • Understanding of Record Information Management Practices - This includes experience with setting policies related to identifying, classifying, storing, securing, retrieving, tracking and destroying or permanently preserving records.

  • Understanding and experience working with JDE;

  • Working knowledge of SAP or any other modern integrated ERP system;

  • Active knowledge or certification of Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen Methodologies or other continuous improvement tools
