Position Purpose & Summary

Contributes to build a culture of planning and a supply planning process in the unit.

Leads and provides direction on the supply planning process to the key stakeholders in Operations, RMS, Finance and Supply Chain, and oversees all day-to-day supply planning activities across CFN Italy.

Leads, advises and makes decisions on all major supply planning activities for a small-medium team with a short&medium term outlook and medium impact on working capital.

These activities include: supply planning operations, process development, planning & execution, change management, systems / data management & reporting.

Principal Accountabilities

20% Contributes to design, build and execute the supply planning process, supporting the plants, RMS and the Supply Chain to assure the availability of the requested products in the right quantity and at the right time. Continuously works to improve the whole supply process.

50% Lead and maintain the monthly “supply plan” side of the S&OP process. Translate mid to long term demand forecast into a supply plan, and monitor actuals vs plan:

  1. Necessary finished good stock and production plan (considering manufacturing resources/capacity)

  2. Inventory planning (Finished goods, Raw Materials and Packaging in line with SUG ABC/XYZ)

10% Anticipates and informs on any supply issues and contributes to build action plans to mitigate. Coordinate with the Demand Planner and translate the forcast intor actions for the supply chain.

10% Prepares and presents obsolete material reports, inventory aging reports, and disposal requests on a regular basis.

10% Creates a regular discussion and alignment with peers in the Regional Supply Chain community: shares best-practises, takes advantage from synergy, contributes to create a standardized S&OP process in the Region.

  • 570k tons total yearly volumes for 3 business lines: Ruminant, Swine, Retail.

  • 5 plants

  • Approx. 5.000 customers

  • Approx. 60 external suppliers for finished products

  • Approx. 8.000 sku’s


Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Economics or Management.

  • At least 2-3 years of minimum experience in a similar role.

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, advanced Excel.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multi-functional team.

  • High energy level and strong analytical conceptual thinking with an entrepreneurial mindset. This position requires a pro-active, problem-solving individual who is able to manage a varied workload with constantly changing priorities.

  • Excellent knowledge of English.

  • Detail oriented, accurate, well organized and able to work effectively under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSCM APICS certifications or similar are considered a plus.
