Your Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join ourCrush Plant in Footscray, Melbourne as a Process Engineer. Reporting to the PlantManager, you will be responsiblefor thedesign and implementation of projects to improve plantefficiency, capacity, reliability or safety.

As a recent Graduate with a Mechanical /Chemical/ Process or Manufacturing background, you will beready to roll up your sleeves, work on multiple projects and excited to learnabout the nuances of plant operations.You will bring in your superiororganisation, interpersonal and team player skills to develop positive workingrelationships.

You will be a self-starter, agile, robust and a resilient team player andthrive in a fast paced working environment. Your ability to grasp a broad rangeof activities, adhere to processes and procedures, take initiatives andcontribute towards building a strong safety culture will be key to the successof the role and will open opportunities to further advance your career.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement projects to improve plantefficiency, capacity, reliability, process safety and EHS. Manage employees andcontractors in the execution of these projects;

  • Support the Production Supervisor and the PlantManager in day to day operational duties, analyze and troubleshoot problems aswell as engage in other process improvement activities;

  • Recommend measures to improve productionmethods, equipment performance and quality of product. Run ContinuousImprovement projects and track value created;

  • Maintain policies, procedures and training forallocated section of the Cargill Corporate Safety Audit;

  • Perform test and take measurements throughoutstages of production to determine degree of control over variables such astemperature, density, specific gravity, flow and pressure;

  • Assist and supportsthe Production Supervisor in thedevelopment, review and implementation of operational and safety procedures;

Experience and skills

Having come from asimilar background, you will have:

  • An Engineering Degree (Mechanical / Chemical/Process / Manufacturing);

  • 0 – 3 years of experience;

  • Effectivecommunication skills, ability to work effectively and collaboratively acrossorganization;

  • Abilityto read, analyse and interpret common scientific and technical journals,financial reports and legal documents;

  • Abilityto apply advanced mathematical concepts and operations;

  • Abilityto interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical ordiagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables;

  • Abilityto effectively present information to senior management;

  • Demonstratedleadership skills;

  • Excellentproblem solving skills;

  • Strongresults orientation;

Desired Qualification

  • Solidindustrial health, safety and environment knowledge;

  • Strong Computer skills (Access, Project, AutoCAD);
