We have an excitingopportunity for you to join our Crush Plant in Footscray, Melbourne as a ReliabilitySupervisor. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible formaintenance and reliability management for the facility. This will includedevelopment, alignment & implementation of reliability excellence programs;prevention, maintenance and repair; project planning, contractor/vendormanagement; best practice application, training and support; and peoplemanagement.
As an experiencedEngineer (Mechanical/Electrical/ Industrial) from a food manufacturing/process/ heavyindustry background, you will bring in your well-developed knowledge of workingwithin a hazardous area and with various industrial equipment, maintenance andproduction planning.
You will be aself-starter with strong organization, supervisory and interpersonal skills, intermediateto advanced computing skills and with an ability to work independently and thrivewithin a multi-cultural, diverse team. Your ability to leverage yourengineering expertise to lead and implement initiatives, train team members andinfluence stakeholderstowards building a strong Reliability Excellenceculture will be key to the success of the role and will open opportunities tofurther advance your career.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Supervise, direct and co-ordinate activities ofmaintenance workers and co-ordinate with other departments, contractors, andlocal regulators to ensure asset health and availability. Monitor repairsthrough systems and controls (i.e. CMMS) to ensure work orders and requests areexecuted in accordance to established work flow;
Recommend and implement measures to improveplant competitiveness, maintenance methods, equipment performance and qualityof product. Partner with Reliability Excellence COEs to identify, deploy andleverage opportunities for continuous improvement and implementation ofreliability excellence vision and strategy;
Conduct and organize training of workers toimprove work performance and acquaint workers with company policies andprocedures. Responsible for performance management of direct reports;
Directly lead/oversee general project planning,cost estimation and tracking & payback justification;
Conduct analysis of plant reliability metricsfor business reporting and identification of improvement opportunities.Conducts root cause analysis on equipment failures and reliability issues;
Prepare department budget and monitorexpenditure of funds in budget;

Experience and skills
Having come from asimilar background, you will have:
A Bachelor degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or Trades Background;
5- 10 years people supervision in an industrial environment;
Good knowledge of Maintenance process and activities;
Good knowledge of equipment maintenance and production planning;
Working knowledge of Computer Maintenance Management Systems (Maximo preferred);
The ability to write notifications, work orders and technical feedback;
Strong computer skills (Word, Excel);
Knowledge of food safety, regulatory requirements for food safety and hygienic engineering (OSH&R);
Computer skills (Access, Project, AutoCAD);
Good Math skills;
Working knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques;
Conversant with RCM / FMEA;
Working knowledge of applicable PdM technologies such as: Vibration Analysis, Oil Analysis, Infra-Red, Ultra Sound, and Motor Circuit Evaluation;
