Position Purpose

Cargill Fort Morgan Beef Facility has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Planner position. The Maintenance Planner’s responsibility is to identify and prepare the pro-active maintenance activities, this includes generation of job plan, work preparation, and optimizing work efficiency.

Principal Accountabilities

  • 70% Scheduale and plan activities including predictive, preventative and reactive maintenance.

  • 15% Troubleshooting Plant Equipment Failures/Problems

  • 10% Purchasing of all maintenance related items.

  • 5% Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned and personally assist in plant repairs and maintenance.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a Level 8 Maintenance Mechanic or have the equivalent field experience.

  • Will be required to pass the Maintenance Test if not a current Maintenance employee.

  • Computer skills including use of CMMS and MS Office.

  • Ability to work with production and maintenance employees at all levels.

  • Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills.

  • Strong Communication Skills -- Oral/Written English.

  • Intermediate math skills- add, subtract, multiple, divide.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous verifiable experience in the Beef Processing Industry

  • Previous verifiable experience with SAP

  • Understanding operating context of site assets/process systems.

  • Working and practical knowledge applicable PdM technologies such as vibration analysis, oil analysis, infra-red, ultra sound and motor circuit evaluations.

  • Conversant with RCFA, RCM / FMEA

  • BS degree in Engineering or related field OR 2 year technical degree in related field OR equivalent experience.
