Position Purpose & Summary

Member of the site FSQR team.

Responsible for the planning, development and maintenance of all customer quality management in a location with Moderate FSQR Complexity and Risk, including: developing and implementing customer quality policies, continuous improvement of customer quality management processes and systems, shaping the location’s food safety culture.

As a member of the site FSQR team, the holder of this position may also have given assignments and projects in the FSQR deployments programmes, on site and/or at multi-site level within CSST.

The position holder is responsible for applying scientific understanding of Food Safety Quality and Regulatory activities or technology and processes in the following areas of focus: succeed customers, third party and authority audit. Ensure data collection and its analysis. Ensure knowledge transfer and provide solutions to FSQR issues/concerns on site as well across locations for supplier quality management and other quality assignments.

The position holder is responsible to provide support on all FSQR alignment activities defined by FSQR management.

Principal Accountabilities

10% SAFETY

  • Assumes regulatory compliance regarding customers-linked activities and for his delegated assignments, compliance process to all Food Safety and Quality regulations, policies, standards and practices across a facility with moderate FSQR complexity and risking, accountable for compliance process to all food safety and quality regulations, policies, standards and practices across the site and monitors regulatory activities and ensures plant compliance with regulatory food safety & sanitation standards.

  • Supports FSQR management and site management on the regulatory compliance process

  • Is consulted by the operational teams to maintain operational compliance regarding customers

  • Accountable for deploying and supporting the zero incident culture

50% QUALITY

  • Accountable

  • Support FSQR manager for the definition of local FSQR procedures

  • Develop, implement system and processes to ensure relevant customer information/request are communicated effectively to location such as customer specification.

  • Responsible for:

  • Actively participate to customer recall, withdrawal.

  • Support

  • Support FSQR manager and site management for the definition of local FSQR procedures.

  • Support / liaise with COE Customers Relationships teams for the communication process (questionnaires, answers, statements …) toward customers regarding site-specific topics

  • Support definition of in-process control points, on-line metrics, sampling

20% PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT

  • Implements product specification systems and drives continuous improvement in the areas of work and production processes, hygienic design definitions and customer focus.

  • Accountable

  • Define with senior managers relevant KPI to measure customer satisfaction.

  • Acts as an interface between the customer/authorities/governments and the moderately complex facility to review product performance and customer feedback.

actively participate to and /or lead FSQR project at site level with the local FSQR team and management team, and on projects assigned at CSST multi-sites level

  • Supports the performance improvement execution contributing to plant & area KPI reporting, performance analysis and performance improvement execution.

  • in the integrated weekly execution meeting (IWEX) Supports the record information management process (RIM).

  • Is consulted for the improvement of product quality analysis.

20% EFFECTIVENESS

  • Responsible to implement a customer management process

Directs the completion of internal & external audits including closing gaps in production & maintenance across a location with moderate FSQR complexity to identify and proactively address risk areas.

  • Support implementation tools and processes such as compliance FSQR procedures Audit to proactively identifies and anticipate potential risk and takes action to prevent food safety/quality issues across a location with moderate FSQR complexity

  • Support as an interface between the customer/authorities/governments and the moderately complex facility to review product performance, conduct quality and food safety audits/inspection, review 3rd party certifications and respond to customer/inspection questions, reports and complaints

Has general knowledge of products and operations and provides process recommendations to FSQR personnel and more senior team members that will result in an increase in quality and food/ feed safety

  • Actively participates in the development of FSQR EMEA and product line strategy and the implementation of location FSQR initiatives and follow-up on budget.

  • Provides input to location leaders related to base and non-base capital expenditures & resource planning, including maintenance shutdown necessary for prioritization/achieving/maintaining industry leadership position in the food safety area.

  • May actively participate and/or play a leadership role in trade associations.

  • Participate to FSQR improvement programmes and projects.

Qualifications

  • Education (includes formal education, certifications, accreditations, etc.)

  • Master’s Degree in science (Food Technology, Biotechnology, Chemistry).

  • LeanSixSigma Green Belt certification

  • Experience

  • At least 5 years FSQR experience inside/outside Cargill

  • Technical Skills

  • The ability to work effectively with cross-cultural and cross-functional teams

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills

  • Fluent English language ability

  • A resilient, well organized personality with a high amount of self-initiative and an independent, target oriented style of working
