Position Purpose & Summary

Responsible for the planning, development and maintenance of all supplier and plant hygiene quality management in a location with Moderate FSQR Complexity and Risk, including: developing and implementing of quality policies, continuous improvement of quality management processes and systems, shaping the location’s food safety culture.

Principal Accountabilities

50% Hygiene

  • Support FSQR manager for the definition of local FSQR procedures.

  • Actively participate to customer & supplier recall, withdrawal.

  • Assumes hygienic regulatory compliance process by:

  • Being accountable for compliance process to all hygienic regulations, policies, standards and practices across a facility with moderate FSQR complexity and risk.

  • Being in charge of HACCP team (creation, development, maintain HACCP studies)

  • Responsible to validate hygiene compliance for site projects

  • Monitoring regulatory activities and ensures hygienic plant compliance with regulatory food safety & sanitation standards

  • Support the site manager to the compliance requirements to all relevant hygienic regulatory (food, feed, pharma…)

  • Consulted by site manager to maintain basic hygienic operational compliance.

  • Define with senior managers relevant KPI to measure in different areas of responsibility and regular update of them

  • Support as an interface between the customer/authorities/governments and the moderately complex facility to review product performance, conduct quality and food safety audits/inspection, review 3rd party certifications and respond to customer/inspection questions, reports and complaints

  • Responsible of development, animation of FSQR trainings (hygiene, HACCP, ISO trainings)

  • Directs the completion of internal & external audits including closing gaps in production & maintenance across a location with moderate FSQR complexity to identify and proactively address risk areas.

  • Has general knowledge of products and operations and provides process recommendations to FSQR personnel and more senior team members that will result in an increase in quality and food/ feed safety

25% Supplier

  • Develop, implement system and processes to ensure relevant supplier information/request are communicated effectively to location such as supplier qualification.

  • Develop, implement system and processes to ensure relevant information are communicated effectively to suppliers such as complaint handling.

  • Support as an interface between the supplier and the moderately complex facility to review product performance, conduct quality and food safety audits/inspection, review supplier 3rd party certifications and ensure supplier reports and complaints

15 % ISO documentation and substitution of FSQR manager in case of absence

10% Safety related activities & trainings

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in science, microbiology, quality assurance or other applicable field

  • Minimum 3 year of experience

  • Yellow belt

  • Responsibility and decision-making

  • Assistance and flexibility

  • Communication, teamwork and criticism

  • Learning and education

  • Safety behavior with regard to persons, environment and product quality

  • Very good knowledge of English (word / writing)

  • Very good PC knowledge (MS-Office)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in science, microbiology, quality assurance or other applicable field in food industries

  • Minimum 5 years of experience

  • Green belt
