Description

Position Purpose

The general purpose of the Customer Service Associate is to facilitate the sales process by coordinating between territory sales managers, customers, and operations. The position is both customer facing as well as internal whereby orders are processed in a timely manner and coordination of production, and shipping is accomplished according to the needs of the customer.

Principal Accountabilities

40% Customer support throughout the order process

  • Order entry and order changes

  • Communication direct to customer regarding freight pricing, and shipment timing

  • Communication to sales consultants regarding customer orders

30% Logistics for domestic orders

  • Securing best freight options for quotes and orders

  • Communication to customers and sales consultants on pricing and timing

  • Coordinating freight and production schedules

20% Invoicing and credit card processing

  • Creating invoices and communicating to customers regarding payment

  • Processing credit cards for customers

  • Maintain communication with credit team regarding customer accounts

  • Enter and maintain accurate data for orders, delivery, and customer complaint issues

10% Backup for export logistics

  • Providing backup for logisitics support for shipments outside of US.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent

  • Minimum 3 years of administrative experience

  • Strong MS Office experience

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and organize priorities

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Must be flexible, exhibit a positive attitude, and be motivated to take on new tasks as they arise

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills

  • Experience in managing logistics for agriculture commodities

  • Experience in export logisitics

  • Bilingual with fluency in spanish
