Skilled Machine Operators are an important role in the daily operations of our facilities. There are a variety of roles and responsibilities within this title. The types of roles available are including but not limited to, performing various rendering and tissue processes, operating heavy equipment, charting and reporting progress and yields, and in many cases the use of tracking via computer, all while making safety and food safety the number one priorities.

While performing the duties of a Skilled Machine Operator, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions with slippery surfaces at varied heights; moving mechanical parts; fast paced warm/cool environment. Positions require standing or walking the entire shift, the use of stairs, and the use of PPE which is required in all areas of the facility.

Principal Accountabilties

Perform repetitive tasks. Examples include:

• Maintaining Processes such as rendering and tissue processes

• Tracking, reading, or creating reports manually or via computer

• Ensuring food safety and quality

• Cleanliness and housekeeping

• Maintaining a safe working environment

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Legal to work in the US without the need of a Visa sponsorship

• Must be 18 years or older

• Read, write, and speak English

• Ability to perform basic math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

Preferred Qualifications

• Beef experience

• Meat processing experience

• Production experience

• Work history in the past 12 months
