Description

As the Administrative Assistant Cargill Transportation & Logistics (CLT) Barge EMEA, you support the auditing and payment of barge freight invoices. You will also create shipping documents that are necessary for conducting barge activities.

Major Tasks

  • You collect, verify, approve and create incoming/outgoing invoices of different freight costs for both internal and external customers, and any additional payment details in collaboration of Cargill Business Services (CBS).

  • You verify payment status with accounting and/or CBS.

  • You organize correspondence and records, following up on pending matters with limited directions.

  • You create, provide and forward/send timely voyage related documents to the Shippers & Authorities (Bills of Lading, Channel fee registration forms, …).

  • You archive all information and documents related to above on the electronic shared folders.

  • You collect, collate and prepare reports, gather, summarize and analyze data/information (e.g. costs, water levels …).

  • You support the month end administration.

Qualifications

  • Secondary education and relevant experience

  • Minimum 5 years business administration experience

  • Fluent in Dutch, good verbal knowledge English & French

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build up a good rapport and trust with customers and suppliers Ability to prioritize work and take on accountability and responsibility

  • Ability to understand detailed information and apply knowledge

  • Ability to learn tasks and complete role without supervision

  • Proven attention to detail

  • Ability to perform all tasks with a high level of concentration and commitment

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite packages (including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and the internet, SharePoint.

  • Personable and confident individual who possesses excellent verbal communication skills.
