You will be responsible for the driving and coordinating Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) work at our Halsa site including applying in-depth understanding of EHS practices and standards. You will be assisting the site management in the conduction of systematic EHS work, including developing EHS plans, ensuring correct EHS documentation, implementing agreed EHS strategies and programs, maintaining and continuously improving EHS results, and shaping the internal EHS culture.
As the EHS Coordinator you will have the authority to introduce and implement the measures considered necessary to ensure statutory duties and the authority to obtain the necessary information of the relevant safety conditions and instruct line managers in performance of risk reduction measures. This position reports to the Site Manager and is part of the Site leadership team.
Implement and execute EHS programs and strategies to manage risk and generate value
Maintain and continuously improve EHS results using an in-depth understanding of EHS matters, business objectives and stakeholder requirements
Ensure conformity to regulations
Perform risk analysis and mapping
Conduct and participate in external and internal audits
Shape EHS culture internally through the development and deployment of internal communication strategy, provide in-depth guidance to colleagues and collaboration with other experts to share best practice
Develop EHS talent at the site through providing key knowledge on risk and mitigation to all levels of the organisation including contractors
Identifies, coordinates and delivers relevant training and materials for line managers, safety officers and others
Bachelor/Master degree in management or science subject and/or 5 years relevant experience within EHS work.
In-depth knowledge of EHS legislative requirements.
Good communication skills.
High performance when working in a team.
Structured and analytical with good planning and implementation capacity.
Ability to write and present routine reports, procedures and correspondence.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Please note this is a temporary contract for a minimum of 12 months to cover a maternity leave
