This full-time position is located in Hazelton, PA. Relocation assistance not provided.

The purpose of this position is for a Refining Operator. The candidate is expected to be knowledgeable in plant safety, engagement, operational excellence, positive customer experience and other plant practices and procedures.

This position is responsible for:

  • Follow all company policies in regardsto Safety, Food Safety, and GMP's

  • Basic Operation of two roll and fiveroll refiners including gap pressures and temperature adjustments

  • Put work orders in flexbatch

  • Prep oils, liquors, and dry ingredientsfor work orders

  • Mix batches and run those batchesthrough the kneader mixer, the two roll refiner and five roll refiner

  • Test fineness of product using amicrometer

  • Standardize tanks and do tank movementsthrough the D3 system

  • Keep up with general housekeeping of therefining room

  • Gain the ability to troubleshoot thechocolate making equipment

  • Inform oncoming shift of any deviationswith the equipment

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs

  • Sufficient proficiency in written andspoken English to effectively communicate with co-workers, follow instructions,and read and understand work related documentation, such as work orders,production schedules, data sheets, production reports, pick lists and foodsafety policies and procedures

  • Must have High School Diploma orequivalent

  • Must be willing and able to work 12 hrshifts including nights, overtime, holidays, and additional hours beyondregularly scheduled shift to cover vacancies, complete work jobs in progressand attend trainings

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds

  • Must be able to ascend and descendstairs, ladders, etc. to work in elevated areas of the plant

  • Must be able to work in confined spaces

  • Must be able to prioritize tasks andhave good follow up skills

  • Must have good time management skills

  • Must be willing to accept accountability

  • Must be a safety minded individual

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Forklift Certified

  • Able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold.
