Position Purpose

The purpose of this position is to acquire all necessary information from Business Unit (BU) customers to book

commodity loads directly with ocean carriers, as well as the preparation and submission of Ocean BOL, related to the ocean carriage, on all export shipments of client businesses. This position will utilize outlined carrier processes and ensure loads are scheduled

according to the order plan. Supporting different T&L modes (air, ocean, rail and truck). First level escalation to trouble shoot shipment issues with ocean carriers and third-party vendors.

Oral and written fluency in English required. (la idea es que se tenga cross training, se mantiene aun siendo el fuerte es Ocean)

Principal Accountabilities

60% - Create Bookings and Tender Loads: Ocean and Air - Execute Multimodal Intl Shipments (GT Nexus, TM, Forwarding System, etc.) North America inbound and outbound for multiple businesses utilizing multiples transportation modes such as dry containers, ISO tanks, reefers, and air - Execute HAZMAT shipments according to DOT, IATA, IMDG requirements (Actulamente en el equipo la mayoria trabaja Ocean, la persona nueva debe de aprender parte del proceso de air, pero inicialmente va hacer ocean).

10% - Ocean & Air Bill of Lading - Preparing / processing ocean bills of lading (Freight Forwarding Documentation) Sirven como intermediaries en caso de la naviera necesite documentos ellos hablan con el departamento adecuado, con el fin de evitar problemas con la carga que se esta trabajando).

20% - Arranging Drayage, Warehousing, Transloading, Crossdocking - Dray carrier management (issues, relationship management) - Booking, arranging, confirming cargo space trabajar en conjunto con la empresa que apoya en el warehouse y trucking, schedule appointments coordinar para que la carga pueda ser recogida en el warehouse.

5% - Transportation & Logistics Vendor management - Liaison between BU and 3rd Party Provider - Be the escalation point to resolve issues and provide visibility to container sourcing teams (relacionado con el punto anterior, naviera inlad, porcion terrestre dependiendo del tipo de movimiento. Recurrir al trucking company, fechas, detalles).

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate (4 yrs) degree or equivalent in business or a related field

  • Minimum 3 years experience working in Transportation and Logistics.

  • Very good understanding of United States and world geographies.

  • Proficient in MS Excel

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Willingness to work over time as needed.

  • English B2.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in forwarding and/or customs clearance.

  • Knowledge of SAP, AS 400 and GT Nexus, Remedy Force
