This insight will allow for timely actions to be taken by Cargill's businesses in the marketplace.

The person in this position will perform duties to accomplish the verification and approval role according to the Cargill Payment Control Policy. They will contact vendors to validate ACH information, address or name changes, new vendors and Factoring. The resource will reach out to vendors via phone, fax or email to confirm information or collect additional documentation such as W9 or Notice of Assignment. This position requires the ability to use deductive reasoning to be able to find contact information on the internet if the information provided is not accurate or not provided at all. The person will also validate consistency in data related to the request in SAP and JDE systems. Documentation of this process is key to successful implementation of the payment control policy. Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail are important as this process effects the SLA performance of multiple groups within Finance. This resource will work primarily independently and it is necessary for them to have a strong sense of responsibility to be able to self-motivate to accomplish the duties of the role.

This role will also be responsible for doing research to analyze and resolve issues with complex vendor setups or issues. Will obtain an understanding of the vendor setup process as a whole beyond the payment control policy steps. This role will monitor the queue of requests to ensure the team addresses requests timely and peform audits to ensure data quality. This role requires the person to be able to anticipate next steps and be proactive with little specific direction.

Principal Accountabilities

  • PAYMENT CONTROL POLICY EXECUTION 50%

  • Perform the Payment Control Policy Approval Steps

  • Ensure Filing for Records Management completed correctly and in a timely basis

  • Make outgoing phone calls, send email or fax to Vendor to confirm information or collect documentation as needed

  • Monitoring of request queues

  • RESEARCH AND ISSUE RESOLUTION45%

  • Researching issues that businesses may have with records to determine the best course of action

  • Research complex vendor setups and provide guidance on course of action

  • Audit Requests, record errors and ensure team members trained on issues

  • Understand the role of the Payment Control Policy steps in relation to both upstream and downstream process

  • Ability to take complex scenarios and issues and solution them

  • Effectively communicate and escalate issues and information to manamement on a timely basis

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Comfortable and professional making outgoing phone calls

  • English Level - C1

  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • High School Diploma, University student

  • 2 years of Master data experience

  • 1 years of Business Process experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with JDE/SAP

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree

  • Advanced French
