Position Overview

This role is to provide business analysis and execution within a new enterprise function within CRM, that applies best practices in the industry in regards to managing data, information, and applying controls. This role will work under the supervision of the “Data and Controls Lead”. The intent of this new function is to move CRM forward to begin to think and act in manner that directly supports CRM’s digital strategy (for the customer, sales, trading, etc.) and to ensure overall compliance regulatory obligations are met. This role has dual reporting lines to 2 CRM senior leadership roles, a direct line to PDT/PMO/Trading Technology Manager and an indirect line to CRM’s Chief Compliance Officer. Primary responsibilities for this group has CRM enterprise wide responsibilities to manage 1) Data Quality – Governance, Monitoring and Execution 2) Compliance – Operational Risk and Compliance Reporting 3) Cyber Security, Data Privacy, and User Access.

Principal Accountabilities

40% Data Quality – Governance, Monitoring and Execution

  • Assists on implementation of new business activities.

  • Executes on new business activities.

  • Works across the enterprise BU to ensure business activities are performed.

  • Performs as a data steward over CRM’s data and information residing in all CRM systems.

  • Enforces standards and monitors quality of information.

  • May give direction to 3rd party data vendor services to ensure data execution services meet CRM standards

  • As business analyst, identifies and performs application development work required to meet data and control standards are met.

40% Compliance – Operational Risk and Compliance Reporting

  • Executes a new “Operational Risk” reporting for compliance reporting.

  • Ensures compliance reporting obligations are met for SDR, ETR, and CTR’s reporting repositories, managing exceptions and addressing data quality issues with the business.

  • Collaborates with CRM’s and Cargill’s Compliance Group to understand and form compliance reporting solutions for CRM’s process, data, and technology landscape.

  • Works with the support team to identify areas for continuous improvement and proposes projects for improvement of application support and operation

20% Cyber Security, Data Privacy, and User Access

  • Ensures key control processes and activities meet CRM’s Compliance, and other Cargill requirements are met in the cyber security, data privacy, and user access.

  • May give direction and works closely with other functional areas to execute on behalf of the “Data and Controls Group”.

Qualifications

Required

  • 4 Year Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5 years work experience in financial markets and/or business analyst capacity.

  • Solid understanding of financial markets and commodity trading

  • Technically proficient and comfortable with new technologies

  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation/communication skills

  • High degree of accountability & ability to take initiative and work independently, perform well under pressure and establishing priorities to meet deadlines

  • Adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity

Preferred

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a derivatives trading business

  • At least 2 years of business systems management, a background comprised of application development, systems implementation experience, data management practices, and on-going systems support

  • 4 Year Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, software engineering

  • Strong understanding of global derivatives regulations, including CFTC and European reporting requirements

  • Strong understanding of SQL query writing and understanding data relationships
