Position Purpose & Summary:

Cargill’s animal nutrition businesses in MEA as well as lead a team of internal and external

Cargill Animal Nutrition is looking for a results-driven communications professional who will be responsible for developing CAN MEA communication strategy and executing activities that enhance Cargill’s brand and reputation internally and externally across MEA (Middle East and Africa). The role will require collaboration cross functionally to support internal and external communication, close cooperation with the CAN MEA Leadership team, corporate social responsibility and media relations for Cargill’s animal nutrition businesses in MEA as well as lead a team of internal and external communication experts.

Principal Accountabilities:


  • Using advanced knowledge, plans, creates and manages the overall CAN MEA internal/external communication strategyand plan, including: new product launches, online strategies (e.g. intranet,, social media, PR/media relations, advertising, collateral, etc.), Go-To-Market web strategy, Cargill brand strategies, employee communications, message/content strategy and PR development strategy.

  • Provides leadership, training and expertise in CAN MEA on internal and external communication strategy and tactics. Aligns business with Cargill’s brand strategy.

  • Translates master brand strategy into a creative strategy distinctive to each Platform/BU/Function. Leads execution of brand strategy and brand identity guidelines.

  • Support leadership and senior management with strategic planning, project management, and internal and external communication.

  • Develops communication strategy, campaign management and oversees implementation of new solutions to drive value & sales and engage customers.

  • Develop and contribute to key messages including proof points as well as efficient and effective strategies and tactics on how to reach relevant target groups.


  • Ensure one voice communication across the organization, as well as relevance, accuracy, consistency and timeliness in all communications.

  • Collaborate with the global communications function to increase efficiency and effectiveness of communication, including sharing best-practices.

  • Requiring substantial knowledge of communication practices analyzes and reviews measures of communication effectiveness to drive continuous improvement within team.

  • Advise senior management, global communications team and other relevant internal stakeholders on noteworthy trends, news developments, or changing/unexpected circumstances that may impact Cargilll.

  • Using advanced knowledge of marketing communications, helps create a positive environment to launch product.

  • Negotiates and/or supervises the negotiation and selection of business with external suppliers and agencies.

  • Works across CAN MEA to ensure consistency and effectiveness of marketing communications.


  • Provides direction and coaching/professional development support to team members.

  • Responsible for budget, program measurement and ROI (e.g. bi-annual scorecard, reporting of global key performance metrics).

  • Identifies and prioritizes resources to support and execute projects.


Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years experience in internal and external communications and implementation of branding strategy

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a team environment and operate with autonomy

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Able to build collaborative relationships

  • Able to perform well under pressure and not deterred by hardship or failure
