Key Account Manager

The Key account manager is accountable for building customer relationship and insight with the more complex customers in Turkey region. Commercial accountability includes reaching margin & volume targets by delivering value propositions, and gaining industry knowledge and translating this back into the wider commercial organization. Sales execution starts at pre- contracting phase and end with payment of the invoice.


  • Built insight & intimate relationship through customer visits.

  • Integrate insight in visit reports, customer account plan, CRM system and feed commercial organization with relevant information.

  • Identify demand and integrate knowledge in specific region and/or market.


  • Plan for continuous growth. Set budget together with the Team Lead Key Accounts.

  • Achieve margin and volume targets.

  • Plan and execute innovation based growth.


  • Accountable for managing all steps in sales effectiveness process. Starting with pre- contracting discussion on terms & conditions, negotiate and conclude a sale, contract entry, until execution and payment of the contract. Appropriately involve Sales Support and other support functions during the process.

  • Manage credit and counterparty risk management.

10% OTHER – Meetings, etc.


Minimum Required

  • University degree at administrative sciences, food/chemical engineering and relative

  • Min 5 years of commercial experience, with successful history

  • Good track record of Account Management

  • Good track record of Distributor management

  • Result oriented personality and ability to work under sales target pressure

  • Self-Starter with Initiative and Drive

  • Proof of strong and effective communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) and active listening to the customers

  • Strong negotiation, influencing and persuasive skills

  • Strategy formation and execution

  • Budget formation and planning

  • Market Supply and Demand understanding

  • Following markets and competitors

  • Executing B2B Marketing best practices

  • Leading and developing others

  • Advance level of English
