Description

The primary accountability of this position is to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of retained accounting activities through alignment of processes, deployment and stabilization of system implementation, and collaboration with teams spanning across product groups across functions and across enterprises. This role is a leading position in driving efficient, well controlled, financial services to and on behalf of the businesses. This position will be involved in the transformation, leadership and performance of key accounting activities for Indonesia to support cross enterprise activities. This position will be responsible to support to determining how RTR, OTSC, PRTP & other related processes will be executed in the retained organization, and developing a framework that will be the basis to provide E2E views. Processes will be implemented to ensure compliance with local and US GAAP, providing reliable financial reporting & compliance with laws, regulations and corporate policies. Will also oversee relationship with other functions eg Tax, Treasury, CBS Finance etc. This role is also accountable to certify that financial statements reflect the accuracy & entirety of the business transactions, and that balance sheet and P&L are duly reconciled and certified by external auditors. This role will be primarily responsible for completing the statutory audit and other financial statutory compliances for Non CTP business, and will work closely with other COE's and Country A&R lead.

This role will also work closely with the Country A&F Lead and Country tower leads to lead the deployment of the financial control framework by assessing risks, developing, and deploying sustainable processes and tools to ensure that controls are maintained across multiple financial delivery models, systems and processes. This position plays a critical role to assess the effectiveness of controls and to ensure financial compliance across all enterprises which is critical through this dynamic time of change.

50% Financial Operations

  • Applies an extensive understanding of principles and techniques, evaluate and analyze financial statements. Keeps pace with changing relevant regulations and standards

  • Executes on moderately complex accounting policies and procedures of one or more of the following processes: RTR, OTSC, ITP.

  • Performs day-to-day accounting operations required to support the Non CTP business in Indonesia.

  • Utilizing substantial and broad knowledge of accounting principles and practices, creates moderately complex financial statements with accuracy and in compliance with established requirements and policies.

  • Monitors and measures compliance to the internal global control framework.

  • Monitors internal control deficiencies/risks and raises issues to manager or supervisor.

  • With limited oversight, follows data governance standards to ensure financial data is accurate and consistently used throughout the country.

  • Assists in more senior members of the team in year-end audits. Prepares statutory financial statements and hands off to manager or senior teammates to review.

  • Utilizing substantial and broad knowledge of accounting principles and practices, creates moderately complex financial statements with accuracy and in compliance with established requirements and policies.

  • Applies a substantial and broad understanding of accounting practices and procedures to identify areas of improvement across a specific accounting process

  • With limited oversight, reviews and creates moderately complex accounting report packages. May be on a weekly, quarterly, monthly and/or yearly basis.

  • Applies a substantial and broad understanding of the business to conduct standard financial analyses of the balance sheet to ensure proper controls over financial reporting.

  • Reviews results and provides technical accounting data and information to Finance partners.

  • Frequently partners with Finance peers and cross-functional managers/supervisors to determine key financial information to include in the financial and management reporting package.

  • May apply a substantial and broad understanding of accounting practices and procedures by acting as a primary contact for accounting-based systems in Indonesia. Works closely with businesses within Indonesia to resolve problems with system, and troubleshoots a solution.

  • This tower will be the key customer for CBS Finance, and will work in close partnership with Tax, Treasury, CFR, Decision Support, Financial Risk Management, internal and external auditors.

  • Work closely with (CBS Finance and global process owners to build capabilities for executing financial accounting processes at appropriate place which allows Cargill to leverage its size and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of finance organization.

  • Work closely with the accounting teams in the plants.

  • Aligns with internal control systems that provide effective and efficient operations reliable financial reporting and compliance with laws, regulations and corporate policies.

  • Collaborates with more senior members of the team in reviewing results and providing technical accounting data and information to Finance partners.

  • Occasionally partners with Finance peers and cross-functional managers/supervisors to determine key financial information to include in the financial and management reporting package.

  • Work with other functions and business managers to ensure financial regulatory compliance.

15% Deploy financial internal control framework, assesses/identify/report risk, monitor and improve Financial Controls.

  • Applies a comprehensive understanding of the business to conduct standard financial analyses of the balance sheet to ensure proper controls over financial reporting.

  • Partner with Controls COE & Audit teams to understand and address financial risk areas

  • Identify opportunities for control efficiencies in processes.

  • Ensure financial controls are consistently monitored, ICRs, CRP preparation and audits are executed according to pre- defined schedules. Partner with all areas involved to ensure compliance for new business transactions or new controls identified to be implemented.

20% Change Leadership through Process Optimization and Technology Driven Decision Making

  • Supports the identification and implementation of process simplification, standardization and improvement.

  • Provides input to more senior members of the team for improvements to accounting process effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Leads and participates in new set-up and changes in existing financial applications to optimize effectiveness

  • Actively collaborates in driving process optimization, leveraging of shared services and improving the efficiency of finance operations.

  • Ensure planning processes are streamlined to reduce non-value added activities.

  • Data accuracy and E2E framework will be in consistent alignment with global RTR process owner, with a key focus on continuous improvement.

  • Partners with other accounting and finance leads.

  • Manages engagements with auditors and ensures issues are resolved.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

  • Minimum 8 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably with at least 2 years’ experience of controls/compliance experience.

  • Strong accounting experience with very good technical knowledge in US and Local GAAP

  • Strong understanding of CFR reporting and compliances.

  • Understanding of Indonesian tax framework.

  • Demonstrated change agility and ability to navigate him and team through ambiguity and uncertainty.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to partner and engage with centers of expetise(like Tax, CFR, Audit, HR, IT)

  • Ability to communicate, influence and build trust across multiple stakeholder groups

  • Proven accounting/ finance leader with strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Broad/diverse commercial knowledge with understanding of how all areas come together and operate as a business.
