Description

The primary accountability of this position is to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of retained accounting activities through alignment of processes, deployment and stabilization of system implementation, and collaboration with teams spanning across product groups across functions, and across enterprises. This role is a leading position in driving efficient, well controlled, financial services to and on behalf of the businessesResponsible on reporting and financial statements of the respective legal entity/ies to ensure compliance to Cargill Accounting Policies, BU policies, US and Indonesia GAAP, and corporate requirements as set by Corporate Financial Reporting.

  • Applies an extensive understanding of principles and techniques, evaluate and analyze financial statements. Keeps pace with changing relevant regulations and standards

  • Performs day-to-day accounting operations required to support the business in Indonesia.

  • Utilizing substantial and broad knowledge of accounting principles and practices, creates moderately complex financial statements with accuracy and in compliance with established requirements and policies.

  • Monitors and measures compliance to the internal global control framework.

  • Monitors internal control deficiencies/risks and raises issues to manager or supervisor.

  • Assists in more senior members of the team in year-end audits. Prepares statutory financial statements and hands off to manager or senior teammates to review.

  • Work closely with (CBS Finance and global process owners to build capabilities for executing financial accounting processes at appropriate place which allows Cargill to leverage its size and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of finance organization.

  • Work closely with the accounting teams in the plants.

  • Collaborates with more senior members of the team in reviewing results and providing technical accounting data and information to Finance partners.

  • Coordinate to ensure all transaction recorded is comply with local and US GAAP requirements. Fiduciary responsibility to ensure that Financial Reports are prepared & submitted on timely fashion and complied with Cargill Accounting Policies, BU policies, US and Indonesia GAAP, and corporate requirements as set by Corporate Financial Reporting

  • Primary contact to the business leadership team as appropriate.

  • Reviews work done by the accountants.

  • Support all audit (external, internal, and tax) process and ensure there’s no non-compliance. Prepare external audit reports.

  • Work closely with the PRTP/ORC counterparts.

  • Applies a comprehensive understanding of the business to conduct standard financial analyses of the balance sheet to ensure proper controls over financial reporting.

  • Partner with Controls COE & Audit teams to understand and address financial risk areas

  • Identify opportunities for control efficiencies in processes.

  • Ensure financial controls are consistently monitored, ICRs, CRP preparation and audits are executed according to pre-defined schedules. Partner with all areas involved to ensure compliance for new business transactions or new controls identified to be implemented.

  • Identify, develop and coach direct reports to ensure we have high performing teams.

  • Develop sustainable training program for execution of various financial risk management and control processes and ensure team is well trained.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting/ Accounting certification

  • Min.8 years in accountant/reporting.

  • Good Understanding of accounting principle,

  • Proficient with MS excel, English, detail oriented, enjoy working with numbers

  • Good logical and analytical thinking

  • Ability to interact with senior stakeholders

  • Ability to influence at all levels.

  • Ability to work underpressure and multitasking

  • Proactive and fast learner.

  • Ability to partner and engage with centers of expetise(like Tax, CFR, Audit, HR, IT)

  • Ability to communicate, influence and build trust across multiple stakeholder groups Broad/diverse commercial knowledge with understanding of how all areas come together and operate as a business.

  • Good understanding of control environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding and experience working with JDE, SAP is a plus
