Position Description:

Maintain and repair all plant electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment. Assemble and install new plant machinery-electrical, air, gas and water supply lines. Work in a safe and efficient manner consistent with company rules and regulations.


50% Complete repairs and perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and machinery in production facility. Update and improve machinery, equipment, and facilities as assigned. Use and operate all plant tools and equipment, including but not limited to, welders, cutting torch, drills, forklift, safety equipment, painting, etc.

25% Maintain physical facilities, both interior and exterior, repairing, cleaning, painting, mowing, removing snow, removing trash, etc., as assigned.

15% Interpret and understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic drawings, trouble-shoot and diagnose problems.

10% Other duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to read/comprehend English.

  • High School degree or equivalent.

  • Good math skills.

  • Good mechanical aptitude.

  • Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling, pounding with hammer and work in confined spaces.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold.

  • Ability to work in elevated areas.

  • Must be able to operate machinery.

  • Forklift certified.

  • Must be able to perform maintenance trades including: welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication, gearbox and bearing, lubrication, mechanical maintenance.

  • Demonstrated ability to multitask in fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work overtime, holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in production related work

  • Able to operate heavy equipment

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Able to perform maintenance trades including: electrical, mechanist, rigging systems, pumps and piping systems, and hydraulic and pneumatic.

  • Previous experience with MRO (Maintenance Repair Ops) and/or MRP (Material Requirement Planning).
