Description

Position Purpose

  • Develop and execute buying strategies that support the CPN Russia business strategy and delivery on committed financial targets

  • Ensure maximum connectivity advantage for CAN business in Russia through leveraging CAN global sourcing team and cooperation with other Cargill business

  • Fully utilize our formulation technology to support proper buying decisions

  • Leading cost saving & VC projects for category

Principal Accountabilities

50% Sourcing

  • Responsible for sourcing Vegetable proteins and Fats to all CPN plants and managing related risks (price, quality, supply)

  • Help to source as back-up and have good understanding in other sourcing categories (grains, animal proteins ans fats, dairy products)

  • Develop deep market understanding and key market trends and drivers.

  • Develop sourcing strategies (long term) for key ingredients and for each location that deliver on current and future demand to support business growth;

  • Develop Game plan – short term action plan

  • Maximize value out of connectivity with other Cargill businesses develop connectivity opportunities

  • Carry out strategic supplier selection/de-selection to ensure having a balanced supplier portfolio to support business growth requirements.

  • Negotiate and manage agreements with suppliers. Control and organize competitive sourcing process and supplier selection strictly in accordance with Cargill Guiding Principles, Procurement and other related policies and procedures.

  • Develop new suppliers & introduce to the business new best value ingredients

  • Understand any challenges or technical constraints for each plant and provide data based recommendations and actions as to how to overcome bottlenecks to ensure supply continuity at a minimum cost to the company;

  • Ensure the best possible TCO and quality conditions for Cargill; rigorously work on reduction of costs, lead optimization & VC projects

  • Working capital optimisation; manage out of date ingredients & slow movement items stock reduction

  • Develop regional sourcing to get maximum advantage out of local sourcing

20% RMS best practice and VC

  • To maximize RMS contribution to PCM through implementation of Global RMS best practices according to “RMS audit” form.

  • Proactive look for the opportunity for VC (value capture)

  • Develop value through alternative ingredients usage

  • Leverage CAN global structure to ensure using relevant best practices, market intelligence and ingredient knowledge;

  • Regularly provide market updates for sales managers, agree and develop one shared vision regarding market prices and look for the optimal positioning for key ingredients with key stakeholders.

15% Quality

  • To ensure suppliers meet our quality targets and develop a supply base that provides consistent quality and relative nutritional value advantage for our business;

  • Leverage OVSdb to ensure sustainable supply chain with stable quality parameters;

  • Supervise and evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective action plans when necessary. Control and coordinate claims resolve with suppliers.

15% Ensure operational excellence and effective system usage

  • Maximize systems (OVSdb, Bills, Every Angle etc) usage according to best practices.

  • Develop effective cooperation with other departments: sales, production, SC, quality, with aim to provide best service and value to our customers.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • University degree in Economics / Finance / Agriculture

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in procurement or trading vegetable proteins or grains.

  • Good command of English (verbal and written)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of systems and processes to ensure purchasing discipline and control;

  • Good understanding of the agriculture business;

  • Computer skills – advanced user (MS Office);

  • Good understanding of contractual and civil law.

  • Strong understanding of the main cost components, cost drivers and market forces.
