Account Manager (m/f)
The account manager is accountable for building customer relationship and insight with customers in the “Business enabler’s” segment. Commercial accountability include reaching margin & volume targets and esthablishing growth through innovation. Furthermore, accountability involves deploying marketing tools such as customer account plans & segmentation, delivering value propositions, and gaining industry knowledge and translating this back into the wider commercial organization. Sales execution starts at pre contracting phase and end with payment of the invoice.
Principal responsibilities / accountabilities:
30 % DEEP CUSTOMER INSIGTH & RELATIONSHIP
Built insight & relationship through customer visits.
Integrate insight in visit reports, customer account plan, CRM system and feed commercial organization with relevant information.
Actively look for- and approach new potential customers in specific region and/or market.
Identify demand and integrate knowledge in specific region and/or market.
Support Senior Key Account Manager with Partner customers locally when applicable.
20% ACHIEVING COMMERCIAL GROWTH TARGETS
Plan for continuous growth. Set budget together with the Regional Sales Manager.
Achieve margin and volume targets, set by strategic pricing.
Plan and execute innovation based growth.
40% SALES EXECUTION & CONTRACT EXCELLENCE
Accountable for managing all steps in sales effectiveness process. Starting with pre contracting discussion on terms & conditions, negotiate and conclude a sale, contract entry, until execution and payment of the contract. Appropiately involve Sales Support and other support functions during the process.
Manage credit and counterparty risk management.
10% OTHER – Meetings, etc
University Graduate / Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 5 years B2B experience in Sales environment
Experience in the sales of products across different product lines is a plus
Relevant product knowledge
Native German speaker
English both writing and speaking
Good understanding of process orientation
Strong ability to implement the techniques and tools from sales effectiveness
Analytical oriented thinking
Excel and PowerPoint savvy
Strong execution capabilities.
Important team player
Strong communicator towards line management & peers
Self-starter with initiative and drive
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Flexibility during times of change – can cope with ambiguity

Location and homebase is Krefeld, Germany
Percentage of travel will be 50-60 %
Customers are located mainly in Germany/Austria/Switzerland
