Position Purpose & Summary

The successful candidates will assist in overall financial and accounting functions of the company, including corporate financial reporting, handling audited accounts, tax submission, closing of accounts, legal matters and others.

Principal Accountabilities

Financial accounting -70%

  • BU ledger bookkeeping to ensure correct financial data of related cost center, work with BU management team for BU annual budget preparation.

  • BU/Function reporting to highlight budget/actual financial result analysis, ensure all report is in compliance with US GAAP and local tax rule

  • Work with shared service team in Banglore CBS to ensure smooth, monitoring month end/quarter end & year end reporting submission correctly before deadline

  • Assist accounting manager & BU management /commercial team to ensure proper internal controls related to financial reporting and accounting processes through understanding all BUs business module and trade flow to highlight key business impact factors of BUs

  • Support preparation of BS reconciliation to ensure all account balances are appropriately supported and properly stated and comply with policy 42

  • Support annual statutory auditing and tax function for any analysis reporting for assigned BU. And work with BU to comply with PRC GAAP requirement and local tax requirement.

Compliance & Process Efficiency 20%

  • Review all the financial accounting processes and key internal control point to monitor alignment with the standard Corporate and BU Policies &procedures.

  • Review the overall accounting processes and escalate to Senior Accountant/Team Leader with reasons for deviation

  • Keep updated on all documents such as SOP etc

  • Initiate, suggest and demonstrate process improvement

Business Partnering -10%

  • Effective and timely communication with BU wherever necessary

  • Provide accounting support for the ongoing new projects for assigned BU

  • Provide ad-hoc support for the monthly BU performance reporting


Education, Experience, Skills

  • LCCI Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/ Accountancy or equivalent

  • Strong Problem solving skills especially with customers, team members and internal staff

  • Computer literate with proficiency in MS Excel, JDE or SAP system

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with pleasant personality

  • Ability to work independently and within a team

  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver on time

  • Self-starter and take initiative

  • Strong on integrity and ethics
