Position Purpose & Summary

As a member of the HR Solutions Andean team, the HR ER/EE Associate will be coordinating the delivery of employee relations, employee experience and HR services such as actively meeting HR compliance processes and procedures, providing subject matter expertise and management of planning processes in relation to Employee Relations and Employee Experience at the location. You will need to create links with other ER and EE to deploy a process that increases the knowledge and skills of HR professionals.

Specifically, this role will be accountable for the delivery of employee relations and employee experience and HR services, including but not limited to:

Employee Relations (ER) – conflict resolution, separations, disciplinary actions, labor relations; ensure compliance with labor legislation and BHRS processes and procedures

Employee Experience (EE) - performance management, employee engagement, recognition programs, production staffing, onboarding and assimilation, local training delivery

Principal Accountabilities


  • Provide relevant and effective advice to Cargill’s sites in Peru

  • Assist in the facilitation of employee relations services including regional strategy requirements

  • Work in close partnership with Cargill shared services to deliver services and processes

  • Responsibility when required to represent the market consultative body such as Unions

  • Administer dispute resolution procedures with employees and unions

  • Perform the day to day delivery of support for employment policies, regulatory requirements and apply these in accordance with relevant laws and Cargill’s employment policies and standards

  • Perform and support compliance related employee/ industrial relations activities for the location i.e. HR audits, customer ethical audits, documentation collection and retention and regulatory form completion.

  • Works with more senior employee/ industrial relation professionals and legal counsels on more complex/ high risk activities

  • Serve as a specialist within the HR Solutions Employee Experience market team to provide relevant and effective consulting services to businesses.

  • Draws on a general knowledge of the business environment, requirements and strategies to determine the recruitment and candidate sourcing strategy and priorities to align with the business/functional goals as well as training and recruitment approach, strategy and priorities to align with the business/functional goals

  • Facilitation of local training and recruitment programs that effectively meet business needs

  • Utilize Nourishing U, collaborate with Learning and Development team to ensure effective training and recruitment delivery

  • Actively participates in training and recruitment related projects or initiatives


  • Represent the assigned market in prioritization activities and escalations in the broader domain services area

  • Provide feedback into services priorities to ensure market adoption

  • Promote the use and implementation of tools/technologies within assigned market to gain efficiency in delivering HR Solutions.


  • Champion a strong continuous improvement culture to ensure deployment of scalable, simplified and standardized processes

  • Establish a culture of accountability and measurement

  • Express, model and reinforce a process-honoring culture


  • Ensure service delivery is compliant with laws, regulations, and corporate policies within the assigned market

  • Ensure application of standard policies

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and standardization on processes currently managed by country and/or regionally


Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject

  • Proven experience in human resources and employee relations and employee experience – essential

  • 5 years of experience of employee relations and employee experience in a fast pace, high change environment – essential

  • Ability to manage and implement HR processes and client focused solutions

  • Experience anticipating issues, problem solving and implementing solutions, including referring critical issues to the appropriate level of management, and improving efficiency, quality, cost and productivity

  • A strong drive for results

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively to a diverse range of people

  • Knowledge of multiple businesses, functions, and processes as well as solid knowledge of business and functional issues, and proven track record to positively impact business results.

  • Understanding of HR change efforts

  • English Intermediate

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience of operating in a shared service organisation

  • Ability to manage Employee relations and employee experience and understand complex legislation

  • Consultative skills
