Job location(s): Mechelen, Belgium

This position will play a key role in ensuring that commodity, forex and counterparty risk exposures are timely and accurately reported, leveraging deep awareness of corporation and business requirements, combined with a complete understanding of end-to-end FRM processes enabling consistent execution of the One A&F strategy.

Major Tasks

  • You will ensure that daily positions are accurately reported and business/RMG can rely on efficient FRM support at any time

  • Weekly CRC Position and stress reporting : ensure accurate and timely reporting with appropriate backup

  • Identify and implement process simplification, standardization and automatization on position reporting to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

  • You will lead monthly rolling of position, including thorough analysis of the variances

  • You will coordinate market replacement cost calculation with involved stakeholders (Risk Management, Strategic Pricing, IBP)

  • Trading P&L (KPI) calculation and analysis

  • Ad-hoc analysis as requested by the business or RMG

  • CRM/ Structured OTC products position analysis

  • You will ensure FX exposures for SSE are below corporate and internal limits as required in the SSE and CTS Forex policy

  • You will monitor FX reporting system governance

  • You will provide technical expertise for FX sensitivity / Impact analysis

  • You will participate in the CSST Forex Center Of Expertise activity (policy updates, forex trainings…)

  • You will provide support to obtain CRC approval for transactions/limit extensions, in compliance with RMG policies

  • You will participate in the preparation of the Monthly Risk Meeting, identifying risk areas that deserve the highest focus

  • You will ensure business has a complete view of counterparty risks and credit exposure

  • You will review and challenge the requests for credit limits and payment term extensions

  • You will coordinate actions together with Counterparty risk to ensure clear action plan is defined and executed to achieve performance targets on overdues and over credit limits A/Rs.

Qualifications

  • You have a Bachelor / Master degree in finance/ accounting or equal through experience

  • You have 5-7 years hands-on working experience in financial risk management and/or financial reporting

  • You have experience in process modelling, standardization and migration

  • You display commitment to compliance and internal controls

  • You have good knowledge, insights of commodity markets

  • You are proficient in English (spoken & written)

  • You possess strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Access and VBA

  • You are able to influence at all levels of the organisation

  • You have problem solving and analytical skills

  • You are able to work independently

  • You are customer focused

  • You have previous exposure to senior leaders
