The main purpose of the Leading Practices Senior Mechanical Engineer within the EMEA Engineering & Build Project Organization is to provide specific knowledge to benchmark, continuously improve & further develop the mechanical and process engineering standards and leading practices in order to deliver customer value in Europe and cross businesses when Capex is required through the following performances measures: high performance on construction safety, increase efficiency in terms of investment cost and implementation timing, increase quality and reliability of new facilities, total cost of ownership in line with business expectation, high performance on customer satisfaction, increase technical capability through innovation, assessed Leading Practices knowledge inside the group and provided relevant training.

Major Tasks

  • You will provide functional leadership in the corresponding field of responsibility.

  • You will be responsible for the implementation of best practice standards in other plant/environments.

  • You take part in the development and roll out of a company consistent strategy and applications for all related business units manufacturing locations.

  • You keep abreast of developments, scout & assess new available technology

  • You will adapt existing standards based on new insights and give input to department strategy.

  • You analyse and improve the implemented safety standards in corresponding field of responsibility.

  • You support the different locations by solving the more complex problems.

  • You support projects during the early phases in the corresponding field of responsibility.

  • You will travel up to 25% of your time



  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • 10 years of practical- and international- experience in mechanical engineering.

  • Thorough understanding and wide experience with mechanical equipment items.

  • General overview of mechanical companies, mechanical equipment cost.

  • Knowledge in ATEX, PED and related legislation.

  • Solids handling experience is a plus.

  • You are able to travel across the different locations.
