We have anexciting new opportunity for you to join Cargill Australia as the CommodityMarketer, based in Melbourne. Reporting to the National Account Manager, youwill beaccountablefor grain origination activities from grower customers across Queensland, NewSouth Wales and Victoria to meet business margin and volume requirements. Therole will be responsible for maintaining relationships with market participantsand intermediaries across the East Coast region on behalf of the business andwill be accountable for reporting market intelligence and grower insights tothe relevant stakeholders. You will be required to work collaboratively withinthe East Coast team to assist in maximising overall business outcomes in theregion.
Your responsibilitiesinclude, but are not limited to:
Origination of commodities from growercustomers in the East Coast region via targeted brokers and/or consultants;
Focusing on margin generated throughmerchandising activities, whilst seeking to meet overall volume targets;
Managing relationships with internalstakeholders to identify opportunities that support the storage and handlingbusiness, crush facilities, etc. which further help maximise market liquidityfor AWB;
Maintaining detailed market intelligence andgrower insights to the relevant stakeholders;
Communicating grower selling patterns,competitor activity, crop conditions, and offer levels to the appropriatepeople within the company to shape our purchasing strategy;
Active participation in the planning andexecution of the regional strategy;
Collaboration within a team based environment tosuccessfully execute on the regional plans, including prospecting growercustomers for AWB product solutions;
To besuccessful in this role, you will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture orequivalent experience;
4-6 years of experience in the grain industryor related sales and marketing positions;
Ability to work effectively within a team;
Capable of delivering innovation;
Strong communication and listening skills;
Ability to influence decision-making;
Proven ability to develop long termrelationships;
Excellent interpersonal skills;
Self-motivated, self-directed, and requiringminimal supervision/guidance/structure;
Exemplary honesty and ethical business conduct;
Ability to understand grain flows and abilityto capture opportunities the market presents;
Ability to carry out extensive travel to farm,internal and industry events;
