Financial accounting

  • BU ledger bookkeeping to ensure correct financial data of related cost center, debit/credit notes issued timely and correctly, work with BU management team for BU annual budget preparation.

  • BU/Function reporting to highlight budget/actual financial result analysis, ensure all report is in compliance with US/PRC GAAP and local tax rule

  • Monitoring month end/quarter end & year end reporting submission correctly before deadline

  • Assist accounting manager & BU management /commercial team to ensure proper internal controls related to financial reporting and accounting processes through understanding all BUs business module and trade flow to highlight key business impact factors of BUs

  • Prepare BS reconciliation to ensure all account balances are appropriately supported and properly stated and comply with policy 42

  • Provide financial support to BUs/Functions

  • Support annual statutory auditing and tax function for any analysis reporting for assigned BU. And work with BU to comply with PRC GAAP requirement and local tax requirement.

  • Other ad-hoc tasks upon request.

  • Lead junior accountant to ensure her/his working performance meet with expectation as well as GAAP and Cargill policy .Process and review all requests of data updating for customers from BUs/Functions as per agreed turnaround times.

  • Authorize and manage credit for assigned BUs

  • Procecss bills, invoices and credit notes

  • Maintain AR ledger

  • Execute payment application and unapplied clearance

  • Manage receivables, analyse aging items and follow up with BUs


Compliance & Process Efficiency

  • Meet all agreed KPI and complete the tasks within the SLA

  • Review all the financial accounting processes and key internal control point to monitor alignment with the standard Corporate and BU Policies &procedures.

  • Review the overall accounting processes and escalate to Senior Accountant/Team Leader with reasons for deviation

  • Keep updated on all documents such as SOP etc

  • Initate, suggest and demonstrate process improvement

  • Any other duties as assigned


Business Partnering

  • Effective and timely communication with BU wherever necessary

  • Participate the monthly financial analysis and variance explanation reporting process for a timely and accurate reporting

  • Provide accounting support for the ongoing new projects for assigned BU

  • Provide ad-hoc support for the monthly BU performance reporting

  • Analyze and report monthly operating expenses or S.G &A for assigned BU



Education (includes formal education, certifications, accreditations, etc)

  • Colleage or Bachelor’s degree in accounting/Finance or equivalent experiences


  • 2-3 year accounting working experience within a multinational company or audit firm

  • Experience with JDE system is preferred

  • Experience with SSC is preferred

Skills (applied knowledge and technical skills directly related to this position)

  • Willingness and capability to grow further in to the Finance organization

  • Strong communication skill

  • Result oriented and capable of working with strict guidelines

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and be self-motivated

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Fluent in English
