Your opportunity

An exciting opportunity has recently become available to join Cargill Australia as the Territory Manager to be based in Northern NSW. As the Territory Manager you will be accountable for achieving territory revenue goals through developing long-term relationships with targeted farmer customers, identifying business needs and positioning AWB solutions to satisfy these unmet customer needs.

In addition, you will also be responsible for:

  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of your customers’ business and needs, and positioning AWB solutions for the mutual benefit of the customer and AWB;

  • Managing customer relationships as the foundation for origination of grain and oilseeds, with a specific focus on maximising volume through the Cargill asset footprint;

  • Maintaining and sharing detailed records of customers to enhance the organisation’s knowledge of farmer customers;

  • Actively participating in the planning and execution of the regional strategy;

  • Building and maintaining successful key stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will bring with you:

  • Strong leadership and organisational skills;

  • Strong conflict management and negotiation skills;

  • Proven problem-solving and decision making skills;

  • Demonstrable excellence in customer account management;

  • A track record of proactivity and self-motivation;

  • Have an ability to be on the road 50% of your time visiting targeted farmer customers;

  • Tertiary education or equivalent work experience;

Whilst not essential, experience in the grain industry or related sales and marketing positions is highly desirable. Further related industries include but are not limited to banking/finance, agronomy, crop production, farm management
