Your Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join ourNewcastle facility, as a Pack Plant Operator. Reporting to the Pack PlantProduction Supervisor, you will play acritical role by ensuring all Pack plant customer orders are produced toCargill Food Safety and Quality standards efficiently and to productionschedule. Primarily responsible for packed goods production, qualityinspection, record keeping, line maintenance and stock forklift movements, thisrole also assists in the loading/unloading of incoming packaging and outgoingpacked stock.

A busy role withsignificant responsibility, your accountabilities will include:

  • Daily safe and efficient running of all packaging production lines;

  • Preparation of oil blends as requested;

  • Preparation of additive mixtures;

  • Complete breakdown and preventative maintenance of all equipment;

  • Completion in full accurate production records;

  • Minimize waste as part of normal production;

  • Work in a safe manner so as not to put others at risk of harm;

  • Maintain housekeeping and GMP standards;

  • Participate proactively in Health and safety Training and initiatives;

  • Participate in process improvement activities;

  • Relief forklift operator, as required;

  • Communicate effectively with internal customers;

  • LOTO equipment as per the Cargill LOTO procedure;

  • Any other tasks as required and within the capability of the individual;

Qualifications

All about you

Experience and skills:

  • Trade qualified in mechanical, electrical orfabrication disciplines;

  • Must be able to safely ascendand descend stairs, ladders etc. to work in elevated areas of the plant;

  • Must be able to lift 20 kgs.;

  • Must have strongtroubleshooting skills;

  • Must have strong written andverbal communication skills;

  • Must have very good timemanagement skills;

  • Must be able to prioritisetasks and follow up skills;

  • Must be willing to acceptaccountability;

  • Must be computer literate includingbeing able to enter and retrieve data accurately;

  • Must have demonstrated high performance (workperformance, attendance record, safety record);

Other Requirements:

Applicantsmust be willing and able towork 12 hour shifts, including nights, overtime, weekends, holidays andadditional hours beyond regularly scheduled shift to cover vacancies.
