YourOpportunity

We have an excitingopportunity for you to join the Cargill Agriculture Supply Chain (CASC), GrainOperations team as a Site Supervisor for our grain storage and handlingfacilities at Oaklands (Southern New South Wales).Reporting to the RegionalOperations Manager, this is a busy; hands on role in a capacity that wouldrequire you to be a hands-on leader, with the ability to plan, focus on safety,operational efficiency, people and reliability.

Keyresponsibilities will include:

  • Managing storage operations at the origination site, leading operational employees, casuals and contractors;

  • Leading the execution of risk management systems and programs for both EH&S & FSQR and inventory management programs at the site;

  • Be responsible for site operation on high efficiency issues (operational expenses control, energy reduction indexes, grain quality control including shrink management);

  • Taking an active role with the maintenance & reliability program for the site;

  • Assisting in the site operation on capital management (CAPEX), including base level improvements projects following standardized specifications and policies;

  • Be responsible for all site operations on people talent, including operational training programs, engagement improvement, performance management, individual development plans, successional plan management;

  • Collaborating with the other Site Supervisors / Regional Operations Manager to align with the business unit plan, looking for plant effectiveness and projects;

Qualifications

Allabout you

With a background in Operations/ Agriculture / Supply Chain / Engineering / Mining industries, you will be anatural leader and bringyour proven supervisory skills and experience. Hands-on and willing to rollup your sleeves, you will bring:

  • Management/Supervisory experience;

  • Ability and desire to learn technical knowledge of grain quality-handling and projects management;

  • Reliability and quality focus capabilities;

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills;

  • An ability to work in a changing work environment focussed on reliability and quality (including working outdoors);

  • Ability to supervise employees and administer operational training on Standard Operating Procedures (WI);

  • Ability to prioritise;

  • Ability to work in a team environment;

  • An ability to travel to other sites;

  • Willingness to work flexible hours when needed to meet customer requirements;

  • Ability to work with and manage external contractors;

  • Ability to drive and promote a safety culture which aligns with Cargill’s values;

  • Have completed secondary education.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Front end loader license;

  • Fumigation certificate;

  • Track Safety Awareness;

  • First Aid certificate (Min level 2);

  • Confined Space certificate;

  • Appropriate Occupational Health & Safety training ;

  • Electrical safety awareness;
