This position is located on Owatonna MN, this is a 2nd shift (6:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.). Relocation assistance is not provided

Principal accountabilities

  • Perform daily analysis of finishedproduct and ingredients

  • Collect product and ingredient samplesand ship to laboratories for analysis as needed

  • Line up equipment for grinding andoperate the equipment as necessary to convey grain to and from the processingequipment.

  • Effectively communicate food safety andingredient/product quality concerns to management

  • Assist in monitoring the plant PestControl Program and communicate any pest control issues daily

  • Perform daily verification of HACCP CCPsand CPs.

  • Monitor metal detection, lot/date codeapplication, packaging seals etc. and report any deficiencies to management

  • Perform microbiological sampling offinished product and the plant environment as needed

  • Be self-motivated and self-directed.

  • Make suggestions for continuousimprovement in the plant.

  • Follow all safety procedures in theplant.

  • Follow all GMP and operational practicesin the plant.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.

  • Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old.

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

  • Climbing ladders, bending and stooping.

  • Must be able to read/write English.

  • Basic computer skills

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in production relatedwork.

  • Prior QA experience.

  • Good mechanical aptitude.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task infast paced environment.
