Cargill Regulatory R&D Intern 2019 in Plymouth, Minnesota
Regulatory R&D Intern 2019
Cargill provides food, agriculture, financial and industrial products and services to the world. Together with farmers, customers, governments and communities, we help people thrive by applying our insights and over 150 years of experience. We have 150,000 employees in 70 countries who are committed to feeding the world in a responsible way, reducing environmental impact and improving the communities where we live and work.
There is an internship opportunity for an individual to work with Cargill Industrial Specialties, a dynamic, high growth business focused on serving industrial (non-food) markets with bio based product. This person will be participating in developing a regulatory infrastructure containing information that allows us to assess the risk associated with our products and to communicate that information internally and to customers. The work environment is engaging and presents a great opportunity to learn about business processes, customers and products; while working closely with the North American and Global Regulatory Affairs Managers. This position is an opportunity to use a technical background in a non-laboratory situation.
You will be assigned to a project or multiple projects that will be substantive in nature and will create exposure to a variety of work activities. Interns will have the opportunity to:
Gain immediate hands on experience at one of the world’s largest agribusiness companies committed to feeding the world in a responsible way.
Development of risk assessments for raw material and products. Search databases to identify and gather information, upload into database in development. Opportunity to learn more about chemical risk assessment, if interested.
Restructure export information about products to simplify export management and reduce risk.
Create database for products manufactured in non-US locations.
Respond to customer requests for information.
Opportunity interface with people in all aspects of our business (R&D, operations, commercial) and learn about product stewardship first hand.
Cargill offers both housing assistance and relocation reimbursement to interns who qualify (based on mileage).
Internships are paid and are at least 12 weeks in duration.
Day–to-day transportation to and from work is the responsibility of the intern.
