As the Central Quebec Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the overall Sales Management execution across multiple species in our Central Quebec geography. Your primary responsibility will be the continued success and development of our salesforce integrating CRM tools, and focused sales planning through the introduction, enhancement of sales management practices developed across the business. As this is a leadership role, you must be able to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams within the organization on a variety of strategies concurrently within your role of sales responsibilities. This position would be located in Quebec with focus on a geography encompassing South Western and Central Québec (Ontario border to Plessisville, USA border to St-Lawrence River).
40% - Achieve Central Quebec Business Performance Targets (Volume and Margin):
Translate business initiatives into immediate and quantifiable sales objectives and results
Develop and monitor performance standards that lead to prioritization and achievement of sales volume and margin objectives across all product groups
Monitor, communicate, and adjust performance objectives based on changing market conditions / situations to achieve annual growth objectives
Champion change management efforts to continually increase sales team effectiveness and engagement
Provide regular coaching and mentoring to sales team.
20% - Sales Administration:
Responsible for recruiting, hiring and performance improvement across multiple Sales Teams
Monitor sales commissions to ensure equitable and effective growth targets and compensation
Ensure effective HR resources available and applied for sales teams
Responsible for career development planning of Sales and Account Managers
15% - Support and Continued Development of Sales Management Program:
Champions and supports the sales & Account Manager program to achieve the overall success of customer relationships resulting in business growth
Responsibility with other Sales Managers across business for evaluating and developing new standards or sales processes that strategically address sales opportunities in the future – influence National results based on key skills.
Responsible for execution of Sales Training Program across sales teams
15% - Actively Collaborate with Strategic Marketing Teams :
Regular contact and collaboration with different Species Strategic Marketing Teams (SMT) to ensure execution of sales strategies and input on future strategies
Share market data and sales trends to Species SMT to ensure alignment and focused execution of successful sales strategies that are relevant to our customers and prospects
Responsible for clear communication and alignment with SMT teams
10% - Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in an agricultural or business discipline or equivalent experience in business
Minimum 3 to 5 or more years proven leader as managing sales team
Proven ability to effectively collaborate, influence and lead change
Highly organized, self-starter able to set and follow priorities and manage multiple projects
Experience leading sales team, providing coaching, developing talent, and building a high-performance team.
Experience in growing a business
Desire, ability and passion to build strong customer relationships
Bilingualism is asset to effectively communicate both written and verbal in English and French
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
Ability and willingness to travel 50% of time
Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
