This position oversees and manages the financial activities for the Protein business in Honduras.The Country FP&A lead has five focus areas: Strategy & Business Operations; Planning and Forecasting; Organic and Inorganic Capital Planning; Performance Metrics, Value Drives & KPIs; and Stakeholder Management.The FP&A lead is a key member of the BU’s Facility Leadership Team (FLT) and is also responsible for leading the Finance Job Family team, managing overall staff planning, engagement, performance, and talent development.Finally, this position is responsible for connecting the business with other Finance functional areas: Tax, Treasury, and A&F.

Principal Accountabilities:

Strategy & Business Operations; Planning and Forecasting; Organic and Inorganic Capital Planning; Performance Metrics, Value Drives & KPIs; and Stakeholder Management 80%

  • Work closely with the CPLA management team in leading the business, providing insight and taking part in the development and execution of strategy.

  • Champion ideas, decisions, and measurement of value creation for our customers.

  • Provide leadership and follow up on risk management, both internal and external.Take actions to mitigate risk and operate within established tolerance range.

  • Provide timely and accurate management reports for local teams and BU/ CFR.

  • Lead new system implementations that provide consistent, agile, accurate, and timely management information.

  • Supply day-to-day analytical and financial support for the business.

  • Partner with the business in annual business planning, process improvements, business excellence, integration, innovation, and performance management.

  • Lead growth efforts, M&A, integration and capital planning.

People Leader/Talent Development 20%

  • Demonstrate strong accountability for and leadership of the local finance team, including people selection, development, and coaching.

  • Champion high-performance as well as high levels of engagement.

  • Collaborate with BU Controller and HR to review job bandings, structure, and lead changes as required by business/function needs.

  • Lead, manage, motivate, and develop the following areas: Credit, Settlement, General Accounting, Tax, Cost Accounting, Internal Control, Weights and Scales (66 associates).

  • Collaborate with the appropriate functional teams to actively engage GBS associates at the location (4).


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred Master Degree in Finance or Business Administration

  • Minimum 8 years of financial experience, including demonstrated knowledge and technical proficiency in financial and accounting areas

  • 3 years of managing others

  • Fluent in English

  • Financial system operations (JDE, SAP, Cartesis, etc)

  • Local tax experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong accounting, problem solving, and analytical skills

  • Knowledge of statutory and US GAAP requirements

  • Proven ability to deal positively and champion change

  • Ability to collaborate and partner with a diverse team

  • Demonstrated commitment to internal control

  • Capable of multi-tasking and independently managing deadlines
