Business Data Analyst is responsible for representing the assigned business/function needs around Salesforce CRM application and pricing & quotation data processes and standards.

  • Supports the Cocoa & Chocolate organization with focused data management, process and consultancy for the use of Salesforce and Pricing (tool);

  • Is the primary point of contact for users for new capability deployment, training needs, break/fix, and continuous improvement projects

  • Has an in depth understanding of sales, marketing and customer service processes, organizational structure and culture of Cargill or its businesses;

  • Partners with the Sales Process Improvement Lead to preserve the processes and org design established during Project LEAP. Also, heavily engages with the Data & Analytics team in Cocoa & Chocolate for data standards, processes and quality metrics.

Principal Accountabilities

65% Data Processes & Data Management

  • Continually monitor, enforce and manage CRM data quality (working with business data & reporting analyst)

  • Ensure Data Management oversight

  • Create/Load (or provide load table to Cognizant) for Customer details (attributes) Products/Materials, Plants, Commercial Product Hierarchy)

  • Ensure data process is followed for SFDC and ERPs to stay in sync

  • Identify data quality issues to escalate to the appropriate team(s)

  • Ensure other data elements are maintained – i.e.: cases, account plans, news

  • Responsible to load all required Data for Pricing tool – Master Data, production data, costing data, etc.

  • Create and maintain business pricing data for Pricing tool

  • Create and maintain master data for Pricing tool

20% Customer Relationship Management (CRM – SFDC)

  • Partner with businesses and Sales Process Improvement Lead to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and effectiveness of Customer Sales, Service and Marketing teams to drive adoption and value capture of solutions in the scope of CRM.

  • Manage projects while working with appropriate 3rd party and internal resources to ensure that projects are delivered on time, in budget and in scope.

  • Understand Cargill’s Customer Facing solutions and how they help to enable the business strategic plan

  • Knowledge Management to include: training users, updating documentation, engaging Sales Process Improvement Lead, Global IT resources and business uses for training assistance

10% Functional System Administration

  • Ensure User Stories and user requirements match desired enhancements and actual deliverables meet business requirements of the Salesforce CRM and pricing applications;

  • Triage assigned business/functions users break/fix issues and determine the appropriate resolution path (training, process, system update, project, etc.)

5% Stakeholder management

  • Responsible for the communication and enforcement of Cargill CCC and FIBI’s Salesforce Org Governance policies and procedures to help maintain and ensure architectural integrity.


Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Education: 4-year College degree

  • Experience: 3 years experience to include at least one year as an administrator and/or business analyst

  • Full competency of MS Excel and/or Access and other SFDC ETL Tools (Data Loader, Informatica, etc.)

  • Develop custom objects, fields and formulas, custom reports, dashboards, workflows, validation rules etc.

  • Import and Clean Data using different API tools

  • Ability to

  • gather/analyze requirements and map them to solutions that leverage Salesforce functionality

  • work with users to troubleshoot issues

  • coordinate and participate in testing prior to rollout of enhancements and modifications

  • Implementation/Support of CPQ Solutions

  • Management of Complex Multi-level and Global SFDC Org

  • User/Admin of Exact Target/Marketing Cloud

  • Development on Apex, Java, CSS, Visualforce or Lightning Component Framework
