Position Purpose & Summary

FSQR manager in Schiphol office and IGMA silo providing support to CASC and GEOS SC and commercial teams. First contact for FSQR in the trading office, he/she coordinates FSQR (Food safety, Quality and Regulatory) actions in local office, in accordance with guidelines and policies defined by FSQR LT team.

Principal Accountabilities

15% Control procedures

Ensure implementation of Control procedures and validate discharge after confirming compliance on certificate of analyses in the following products/flows:

  • Crude oils from 3rd party delivered to GEOS refineries and 3rd parties

  • Imports of meal products done by CASC offices delivered to 3rd parties

  • Trading of EU meal products from 3rd parties done by CASC.

  • Grains and oilseed delivered to Benelux plants.

  • Feed products bought from 3rd parties by GEOS and delivered to external customers

Organize sampling and analyses for Harvest monitoring as per instructions from RM FSQR manager

15% Risk assessment

Understand, communicate and explain to local supply chain team members (commercial SC) the food/feed safety and legal risks identified by FSQR on each raw material traded locally. Provide inputsto RM FSQR manager about risks identified locally in grains and oilseeds, crude oils and meal products.

20% Support to CASC and GEOS teams

Participate in Commercial and SC meetings with the objective to communicate and explain to local team members the FSQR risks identified on each raw material traded locally.

Review contract terms including Quality/Food safety items with traders, coordinate control programs and check storage and transport conditions are in compliance with FSQR guidelines.

Support CASC SC team on the raw material supply chains, including on the following items:

  1. Storage,
  • Acceptable Oil terminals
  1. Transport

  2. Acceptance of Previous cargoes taking into account Cargill procedures, EU regulation, Contractual terms and Kosher or related certifications.

Support to GEOS SC and commercial team on:

  • FSQR risks on products traded and potentially traded by CASC and GEOS

  • Acceptance of Previous cargoes taking into account Cargill procedures, EU regulation, Contractual terms and Kosher or related certifications.

  • Evaluation of compliance of 3rd party crude oil parcels delivered by CASC to Geos refineries

  • Support on evaluation of compliance of tropical oils traded or delivered to Cargill refineries by GEOS

  • Evaluation of compliance of 3rd party feed products traded by GEOS

  • Acceptable transport means

15% Certifications

Coordinate actions to keep the certification in the list below renewed:

  1. Schiphol GMP certification of Casc trading

  2. GMP certification of GEOS feed products

  3. GMP Freight team

  4. IGMA certifications:

  • GMP

  • CERT ID, Proterra

  • ISO 22,000, ISO 14,000

15% Training Trade execution and Commercial teams

Make sure that local CASC SC and GEOS inbound team members understand their tasks and responsibilities regarding FSQR procedures.

Ensure all new members of CASC trade and Trade execution as well as GEOS inbound team receive training according to current GORBE FSQR procedures.

10% Crisis Management

Lead crisis situation related to Benelux raw materials supply chain actions locally. Organize appropriate trainings at both offices so that all SC and commercial team members understand GORBE Crisis management procedure.

10% 7Supplier Audits

Produce the first month of every Fiscal Year an audit plan covering the following suppliers:

  • External storage dry bulk

  • Oil terminals used by CASC and GEOS

  • Truck cleaning stations

Execute the audit plan according to existing Cargill procedures and policies before the end of the fiscal year and coordinate the audits done by 3rd parties with Trade Execution teams when necessary.

Ensure audit results are registered in agreed data base or supplier rating tools and follow up corrective actions from audits.


  • Education & Knowledge

  • Minimum Bachelor degree in Food, Agriculture, Animal, Biological Science or related fields.

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in technical services, i.e. Quality, Food safety, auditing, etc in Raw materials or Feed/Food sector.

  • Fluent in English and Dutch.

  • Advanced HACCP knowledge, Technical knowledge on food safety and related legislation on grains and oilseeds or refined oils (hygiene, contaminants).

  • Computer skills with Microsoft applications such as Excel, Power Point.
