The purpose of the inbound specialist is to:
Ensure an optimal (quantity and quality) crude material logistics handling, intermediate (external) storage and supply towards plants/crude customers based on the pipeline of deliveries managed by the Trading & Master Planning
Execute and coordinate the financial logistic administration related to the crude material supply
Arrange/Initiate communication between cross functional teams in order to optimize the inbound logistics process execution
Optimal crude material supply
Monitor forecast, internal and external stock levels, plant consumption, crude material arrival and plant demand in order to optimize the execution of the pipelines.
Review Pipeline of several locations, taken into account quantities, quality parameters and plant/storage lay-out
Set-up weekly Pipeline meeting in order to align with Trading/Master Planning
Organize inbound logistics (cost, quality, capacity) via decisions based on: 1) where to unload the sea-vessel; 2) decide if and where to use which external storage; 3) decide if and when to clean external storage including chartering of coasters for the Multi-oil locations: Izegem, Hamburg and Botlek; arrange for survey and sample taking of material, including quality and unwanted components analysis (hydro carbons , B(a)P and pesticides)
Monitor incoming goods and goods placed in stock against production needs/ facility capabilities
Report unwanted components analysis certificates (Izegem) when appropriate
Check specification against contractual level and agreed SLA’s
Follow-up if material is not meeting contractual specs or is not within Cargill unwanted component limits, including proposals to blend material with quality specs in cooperation with plant operations and quality departments (not applicable for unwanted components).
Receive and follow-up on supplier complaints
Active involvement in performance claims; both on quality issues as on performance of service providers.
Ensure proper administration of freight, analysis, storage and survey costs
Record charter party and fixture’s
Record inbound key performance indicators (e.g. stored volumes/costs, transported volumes/costs, ..).
Be involved in the review of the delivery performance with service provider based on contract and SLA
Report storage, transport, survey and analysis purchase orders following appropriate contracts
Monitor and complete freight box details (sla wtu/ donor deliveries/mou)
Check and process (demurrage) claims in the system
Coordinate and report the monthly P&L for Inbound of the respective location
Project Management and continuous improvement
- Actively participate and support continuous improvement initiatives related to Inbound execution
Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a professional logistical education within an industrial environment or another equivalent education
Good command in English (verbal / written)
Good command in Dutch (verbal / written)
Good command in German is a pre
Minimal 3-5 years relevant work experience or equivalent knowledge level by working experience within the supply chain of an industrial environment.
Commercial and physical distribution affinity and operational planning experience.
Good practical knowledge of contract handling preferably (NOFOTA, FOSFA)
Basic/deep knowledge of logistic terms and conditions
Vegoilvoy , ISPS, VOTOB, CBRB , FENEX ,INCOTERMS and CMR conditions
Good practical knowledge of health and safety regulations
Deep knowledge of physical distribution and/or shipping including chartering knowledge
Good practical knowledge of seavessel operations/ deep-sea/container shipping.
Basic knowledge of plant operations
Basic Procurement skills
Basic negotiation skills
Capable to work under strict time constraints
Solution / Result driven
IT affinity (ERP / transportation tools)
