Position Purpose & Summary

This position is responsible for assisting in the design, fabrication and installation of projects to improve existing processes or implement new ones

Principal Accountabilities

10% Design/Developable equipment

10% Sourcing Material for Projects

60% Building Projects

20% Installing Projects

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Expertise in all types of welding

  • Expertise in use of metal shears, metal breaks, and metal lathes

  • Experience in Metal Fabrication

  • Expertise in project design

  • 5 years of experience in the food processing industry or equivalent

  • Experience in equipment installation including electric motors, gear boxes and conveyors.

  • Good Presentation and communication skills

  • Able to read, write and speak in English

  • Weekend work required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience CAD

  • Knowledge of electrical systems and PLCs

  • Understanding and knowledge OSHA regulations of machine guarding and walking working surfaces
