Position Purpose & Summary

A key member of Project Delivery Enablement (PDE) team is a supporting arm of APAC Project Management Office (PMO). It’s core competency supporting Portfolio, Program, Project and Resource Managers to apply Cargill’s Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) best practices for Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) Methodology, processes and tools. In addition it also provides key support to PMO and ensures responsibility for Demand and Capacity Management – focus on right projects and allocation of right resources. As a regional team it maintains a strong alignment to Global EPMO.

To drive discipline, efficiency and standardization, responsible for supporting a common set of best practices, principles and templates for Program & Project Management, Demand & Capacity Management. Provide key support in areas of report consolidation, monitoring and control. In addition support and/or drive PMO initiatives, attend to queries regarding governance, standards and quality expectations.

This role will require significant interaction and collaboration with requesting organizations and APAC RDC teams on adoption of PPM Methodology, adherence to structured processes and appropriate governance. This include the development of suite of Portfolio/Program, Projects, Demand & Capacity Reports, Metrics, Dashboards and Scorecards.

Principal Accountabilities

40%Portfolio/Program Management Reporting & Support:

  • Point of contact and validation of IT Demands Request

  • Perform Ad Hoc IT Demand and Project Analysis to ensure appropriate level of governance is in place

  • Support review of demand and capacity needs with RDC (Regional Delivery Center) resource managers

  • Responsible for monthly portfolio level reports, scorecards and metric dashboards for:

-RDC and PMO Leadership

-Program/Project Governance

-BRM Portfolio Management Reports

  • Work with stakeholder groups to understand report requirements to support metrics and reporting needs

  • Review historical demand trends, research demand drivers, prepare and evaluate forecast results

  • Prepare and maintain relevant reports, dashboards pertaining to demand planning process

  • Accountable for the quality and accuracy of reporting deliverables.

  • Expected to manage reporting requests and have a keen understanding of priorities and milestones

20%Process Management & Tool Support

  • Drive process adoption, oversight and governance to APAC RDC teams

  • Support and drive PMO initiatives

  • Support ongoing continuous process improvement efforts in these areas

  • Support Clarizen and Portfolio and Project management) tool

  • Support arrangement and facilitation of Governance Project Review Board meetings

  • Process Champion for Cargill’s PPM Methodology

40% Quality Control, Monitoring & Tracking:

  • Responsible for Small Work Performance Monitoring and Control

  • Drive data completeness, quality, accuracy and timely information

  • Maintain Quality control reports to ensure templates/formats/ timelines/content are globally consistent

  • Performance monitoring implementation

  • Support and facilitate effective project Quality Audits and Governance process for Reporting

  • Track and monitor Project Performance Review, Project Compliance Audit, Project Health Checks

  • Support Program Management Leads in Audit, Review and Quality Audit of project deliverables

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Skills

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or Business Related field or equivalent work experience, preferably with Project Management exposure

  • 2 years project management experience as a member or team lead

  • 2 years working experience within a PMO advantages

  • Demonstrated successful track record of delivering effective and accurate reporting across project timelines

  • Excellent Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), SharePoint systems to an advanced standard

  • Analytical and process driven

  • Good time management

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to facilitate discussions and drive to conclusion within a global team.

  • Knowledge and experience in portfolio management and project delivery process methodologies, other associated methodologies, techniques and tools.

  • Problem solving skills and active inquiry skills

  • Ability to foster an environment which actively promotes teamwork and sharing of ideas and best practices

  • Comfortable dealing with ambiquity in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience working with PMBOK or PRINCE2 or industry project management methodology preferred

  • Knowledge of Agile methodology, Clarizen tool advantages prefered
