This is a full-time position located in Sidney, Ohio. Relocation assistance is not required.

The purpose of this position is complete any maintenance activity as well as any preventive and proactive maintenance necessary for the Sipa1 line. This position is also responsible for the overall operation and raw material replenishment of line equipment and production output. This position will also give breaks to operators and fill in where needed.

60% - Ensures the safe, efficient and secure operation of production lines. Supports Production Supervisor and Lead Person by ensuring efficient performance in maintaining line output goals. Troubleshoots problems with production flow and equipment. Leads by example by following Cargill’s “Guiding Principles”. Participate in/and lead training for new operators as well as communicate what is needed for all areas to succeed. Promote and support Cargill rules and policies. Ensure Cargill’s and our customer’s food safety and quality criteria are communicated and met. Ensure daily tasks are being completed, keeping the plant audit ready at all times. Provide feedback and suggestions for improving the reliability of plant assets.

20% - Performs preventive and proactive maintenance on packaging equipment, processing equipment, storage systems, plant utilities and other mechanical and electrical systems. All maintenance activities require SAP CMMS updating and maintaining for all work orders in accordance with Cargill standards.

10% - Troubleshoot machinery and automation failures as necessary. This includes, but is not limited to, case equipment, blow molder, labeler, vision systems, robots, filler, servo motor/drives, palletizer, conveyors, and any other production equipment as directed by senior leadership. Troubleshoot motor control devices, such as magnetic starters, control panels, PLC’s; input sensing devices, such as limit switches, photo sensors, level sensors, etc.; other output devices, such as solenoid valves, indicators and alarms.

10% - Assist in the design, fabrication, and installation of new or upgraded equipment, line layout, raw material replenishment, machinery such as conduit, wiring, power distribution, machine controls, machine automation, motors, counters, lighting, heat tracing, etc. May design and implement PLC logic programming and modify existing PLC logic programming as needed.

Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, and pounding with hammer

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold.

Must be able to operate machinery

Must be able to operate heavy equipment

Must be able to read/write English

High School diploma or Equivalent

Ability to work overtime

Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts

At least 3 years of experience in production related work

Preferred qualifications:

Work in confined spaces

Ability to work in elevated areas

Forklift certified

Basic computer skills

Able to perform maintenance trades including welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication, gearbox and bearing,

maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance and hydraulic and pneumatic
