Position Purpose

Cash and Liquidity management is one of Treasury Services Group activities. Key focus include establishing and driving global cash and liquidity management bank strategy, managing regional and in-country liquidity solutions and ensuring the company has in place efficient bank account structures for optimal availability of cash. Other activities include managing the cash management bank relationships and advise internal stakeholders on cash management processes, solutions and payment products and channels. This position is regional and covers the following activities:

  • Perform cash management activities retained in the Regional Treasury Centre

  • Advise shared service centres, finance teams and business groups on payment/receipt transactional queries and cash management solutions

  • Work with banks to drive service levels standards, value-added solutions and future product offerings

  • Participate and/or drive cash management initiatives, e.g. bank strategy and bank rationalization, implement liquidity structures, deployment of cash management system and continuous improvement opportunities

  • Be the subject matter expert in cash and liquidity management and keep up to date with trends and industry developments in Asia Pacific

Principal Accountabilities

Core Cash Management Activities 60%

  • Execute and manage short-term cash position processes for regional treasury

  • Advise Cargill business groups, shared services and finance teams on issues and queries. Provide training as necessary.

  • Act as point of escalation on issues with banks. Liaise with banks on issues and ensure service levels and solutions of the cash management banking partners deliver to expectation. Participate in annual scorecard process.

  • In charge of managing all cash and liquidity management needs and requirements for a few assigned countries in APAC.

  • Ensure liquidity structures and bank account structures are up to date.

Cash and Liquidity Management Initiatives 40%

  • Participate or lead projects as they relate to cash and liquidity management

  • Pursue standardization or process improvements opportunities relating to process and systems. Explore digitalization opportunities.

  • Participate in bank strategy related initiatives to reduce the number of banks in the region and implement new bank account structures and liquidity management solutions.

  • Involved in M&A closing and integration activities, where relevant.

Essential Functions/Requirements

  • This position must be able to work well under time pressure, able to manage multiple priorities that often has deadlines imposed.


Education, Experience ,Skills

  • A university degree, preferably in Finance or Economics.


  • Minimum 3 year of working experience

  • Have experience in cash management (Preferred)

  • Knowledge of SAP or Wall Street systems (Preferred)


  • Strong team player

  • Good analytical skills, problem solving and communication skills essential

  • Good time management and organizational skills

  • Must be able to comply with strict deadlines and should not shy away from putting long hours as and when needed

  • Able to understand technology and apply to the business

  • Good command of both written and spoken English
