As we setup the cross enterprise regional A&F organization, Process Improvement domain will coordinate with GPM’s thought leadership to drive implementation of standardized processes and technological improvements (SAP deployment etc) in partnership with Regional A&F, CBS Finance, FPAs and COE’s in the region. This team will work with the regional A&F organization to identify process improvement opportunities in end to end finance processes, and will work with the GPO organization in strategizing, planning & implementation. In coordination with GPMs, this team will communicate new and changed policies, ensure standards and procedures are followed, identify and notify exceptions and deviations.

This position will work with regional process improvement lead A&R and MI&DS to deploy continuous improvement initiatives in A&R and MI&DS domains in region, and support core purpose of A&R & MI&DS which is to drive a top quartile financial accounting, reporting and analysis agenda that delivers the relevant external and internal reporting, business analysis and financial insight for Cargill.

The regional A&R & MI&DS Process Improvement position is an integral part of Regional A&F organization working with guidance from the GPO organization and is responsible for leading the improvement agenda for the A&R & MI&DS processes through process standardization and technological improvement.

This position should play a key role in change management, be highly focused on process improvement and will bepart of the Regional Process Improvement team.

40% Continuous Improvement, Process Standardization and Optimization

  • Define base line and actively benchmark process and solutions against external best practice to ‘bring the outside in’

  • Provide support GPO team to ensure execution of process improvement initiatives within Regional A&F organization in A&R and MI&DS domains. Integration with CBS finance on process improvement; integration with upstream processes areas, e.g. commercial, supply chain, etc.

  • Seek opportunities to maximize benefits of newly deployed technologies within the Finance Technology portfolio.

  • Communicate new and changed policies, ensure standards and procedures are followed, identify and notify exceptions and deviations to GPOs and Regional A&F organization to drive alignment and consistency across sub regions.

  • Work with A&F domain leads in defining and building the skills and capabilities needed in A&R and MI&DS domains.

  • Train and guide regional A&R and MI&DS domains in respect of new technology and improved processes which enables effective and efficient execution of processes in these domains.

  • Responsible for working with domain leads to drive the standardization of A&R & MI&DS processes, reduce waste and variation.

40% Regional finance technology implementation & enablement

  • Work with domain leads to implement and enable finance technology in region, and support A&F team to prepare, go through and maximize value in different phases.

  • End-to-end process & solution holistic view (integration with upstream) in SAP for finance processes to ensure standard finance processes are deployed in SAP.

  • Refresh training & super user coaching on best practices.

  • Help build stronger capabilities in process and data technologies, including reporting tools, e.g. Power BI.

20% Project Delivery in Process Improvement domain

  • Responsible for driving initiatives and successful delivery of, improvement initiatives within their assigned areas in APAC region.

  • Responsible for supporting GPO initiatives and coordinating project team members from multiple groups (Regional A&F, FPAs, GPO, CBS, PMO, IT) and locations.

  • Responsible for quantifying and managing delivery of project benefits.


Required Qualifications

  • 10 Years process and / or accounting operations experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar qualification in Accounting required.

  • Experience with finance process

  • Self-motivated

  • Experience working with matrixed teams without direct supervisory responsibility

  • Experience with SAP FICO and upstream modules essential, and passionate to learn new technology tools in fast pace

  • Experience with reporting and dashboard tools like Tableau, PowerBI/PowerPivot.

  • Comfortable in a fast paced and changing environment

  • Articulate and effective communication skills with an appreciation for cultural dynamics

  • Able to influence others, building credibility with peers and key stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in A&R & MI&DS processes with CPA or similar qualification

  • Demonstrated expertise in SAP Modules particularly SAP FICO modules

  • Knowledge of database and data query language

  • Experience in continuous improvement

  • Previous project management experience
