The general purpose of the Customer Service Associate is to facilitate the sales process by coordinating between territory sales managers, customers, and operations. The position is both customer facing as well as internal whereby orders are processed in a timely manner and coordination of production, and shipping is accomplished according to the needs of the customer.
Customer support throughout the order process:
Order entry and order changes.
Communication direct to customer regarding freight pricing, and shipment timing.
Communication to sales consultants regarding customer orders.
Sending shipment information to customers once dispatched or picked up.
Logistics for domestic orders:
Securing best freight options for quotes and orders.
Communication to customers and sales consultants on pricing and timing.
Coordinating freight and shipping schedules.
Enter formulations on quarterly basis.
Maintain accurate data for orders, delivery, and customer complaint issues.
Backup for Customer Relations Co-ordinator:
- Providing backup for logisitics support & customer relations when needed.
Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.
Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old.
Must be able to read/write English.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work overtime.
Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping.
Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
Able to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts.
Minimum 3 years of administrative experience.
Experience in managing logistics for agriculture commodities.
Experience in export logisitics.
Strong MS Office experience.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and organize priorities.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Must be flexible, exhibit a positive attitude, and be motivated to take on new tasks as they arise.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.
